Los campos de concentración de Auschwitz-Birkenau y las Minas de Sal de Wieliczka representan dos polos opuestos del pasado de Polonia. Esta excursión combinada de dos días te llevará a ambos, por lo que podrás rendir homenaje a las víctimas y explorar el oscuro capítulo que representan los campos de concentración Nazis y, además, podrás visitar la increíble mina de sal, testimonio de la fe y de la iniciativa de los polacos. Durante el primer día nos centraremos en Auschwitz-Birkenau, el celebérrimo campo de concentración al oeste de Cracovia. Durante recorrido de 90 minutos hasta el campo, se emitirá una documental sobre el mismo. Al llegar, cruza el umbral con la infame inscripción “Arbeit macht frei” (El trabajo te hace libre) y visita el monumento en memoria de las víctimas y el museo, que se fundaron allá por el año 1947. El complejo incluye los campos de concentración de Auschwitz (Auschwitz I), en Oswiecim, y de Birkenau (Auschwitz II) en Brzezinka, y cuenta con aproximadamente 150 edificios y otros 300 en ruinas, aunque las vías de acceso, los vallados, las torres de vigilancia y las rampas ferroviarias originales han sido conservadas en su totalidad.

El segundo día visitaremos las Minas de Sal de Wieliczka, a pocos kilómetros al sureste de Cracovia. Esta mina de 700 años de antigüedad incluye la friolera de más de 300 kilómetros de túneles excavados a mano en los bloques de sal, si bien únicamente se pueden visitar unos pocos kilómetros. Visitaremos los tres niveles superiores que se adentran hasta 135 metros y luego descenderemos al primer nivel, donde podrás ver los lagos salados subterráneos y los diversos monumentos y santuarios de sal. Descubre una increíble ciudad subterránea de sal con esta visita a las laberínticas Minas de Sal de Wieliczka. Este impresionante Patrimonio de la Humanidad se prolonga a lo largo de nueve niveles que se adentran en la tierra hasta llegar a una profundidad de 327 metros bajo tierra. Las casi 2.400 cámaras existentes se interconectan las unas con las otras a través de diversas pasadizos cuya longitud total alcanza la friolera de 245km. El recorrido incluye también la visita a uno de los mayores museos al aire libre del mundo dedicados a la minería, donde se extraía este “oro blanco”.

Esta visita se realiza en grupos reducidos de no más de 19 participantes, lo que te asegura una experiencia mucho más personalizada. El recorrido incluye una visita guiada por la mina de sal con un guía local experto además del tradicional chupito de vodka que tomaban los mineros de la época y un recuerdo hecho en sal.

Los diversos pasadizos subterráneos te conducen a través de numerosos recovecos, galerías y cámaras en las que se conservan vestigios de la antigua actividad minera, además de ejemplos de arte sagrado y composiciones temáticas ligadas a la historia minera y a sus leyendas. Wieliczka es, en sí misma, el mayor museo minero del mundo e incluye una colección que abarca piezas únicas de equipos mineros que reflejan fielmente el desarrollo de las técnicas de minería desde la Edad Media hasta nuestros días.

Es más, el microclima en el interior de la mina tiene un efecto positivo sobre aquellas personas que padecen de asma y alergias. Admira la imponente capilla St King y déjate sorprender por todos y cada uno de sus detalles, desde los candelabros hasta el mismísimo altar, hechos enteramente de sal.

Take the walking tour of the former Jewish Distirct of Krakow - Once heart of the Jewish community in Krakow, today a vibrant and funky artistic district of the city. Than we continue across Vistula river to the former Ghetto area in Podgórze. The walk finishes by the Schindler's Factory. A walk with a guide will allow you to discover the two faces of Kazimierz: on the one hand, a district vibrant with life, with a plethora of cafes and restaurants; on the other hand, the witness of the tragic events of the past.

The visited places are remnants of the Jewish history and witnesses to the Holocaust. Visitors are also taken to the other bank of the river where the remnants of the ghetto and the Emalia Factory, known from Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List, have been preserved. On the first day the Auschwitz tour will be booked and on second day Polish Castles - Eagle's Nest Trial. Auschwitz is one of the best-known concentration camps in the world; it is a place of genocide where approximately 1.5 million people were killed during WWII. The tour includes a visit to Auschwitz I - the administrative centre of Auschwitz death camp and Auschwitz II, designed and constructed as an extermination facility. The place has remained a living monument of death.

Every year, millions of visitors from around the world walk through the gate bearing a fallacious inscription: Arbeit macht frei – „Work sets one free".Defeating the same route as prisoners for over half a century ago. The programme of the visit comprises the introduction to the origins of the camp, its history and the everyday life of its prisoners. The Auschwitz-Birkenau complex was established in 1940 and throughout the five years of its inglorious operation over 1.5 million Jews, Poles, Italians and Frenchman perished here. It should be emphasized that the prisoners of Auschwitz originated from every country in Europe. In 1979, the concentration camp was designated as one of the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.

On the first day the Wieliczka tour will be booked and on second day Chopin Music Concert. Wieliczka Salt Mine is one of the most precious and fascinating Polish monuments. The first tourist trail in Wieliczka was established as early as at the turn of the 19th century. A couple of centuries later the salt mine was designated as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites (1978). The underground trail leads through numerous drifts, galleries and chambers, where traces of mining activity have been preserved, as well as examples of sacred art, theme compositions relating to the history of the mine and legends.

Wielicza is at the same time the world's largest mining heritage museum with a collection encompassing unique pieces of mining equipment reflecting the development of mining techniques from the Middle Ages until today. Moreover, the microclimate of the mine has a beneficial impact on visitors who suffer from asthma and allergies. The tour starts with a descent down the stairs to the depth of 64 meters. Visitors are led through a number of chambers and shown underground lakes, shrines and salt monuments. The trip finishes at the level of 135 meters below the surface. Visitors return to the surface by lift.

The Biala Róza Restaurant is located in the historical palace complex called Dworek Krakowski (Krakow Manor House) neighbouring the Main Market Square and the Royal Castle at Wawel Hill, right next to the Planty Park and the Philharmonic. The interiors include numerous elements referring to the modernist period called Young Poland, the works of Stanislaw Wyspianski, as well as paintings and photographs evoking the atmosphere and climate of the Krakow of old.

The concert consists of two parts. The first one presents Polish folk dances, folk traditions and legends. A performance is given by a professional group of dancers led by a choreographer. The show is followed by a two-course regional dinner. Afterwards, guests are invited to join in and cut some rug themselves to the sounds of music performed by folk musicians.

Another advantage is the unique atmosphere of Michalik's Cave - Kraków bohemians' favourite hangout. The Szara restaurant is located in the house of the same name (The Grey House), situated at 6 Market Square in Kraków, the place which enjoys impeccable reputation. The beautiful location of the restaurant, right on the Royal Route, excellent cuisine, nice and professional staff speaking foreign languages, magnificent and fabulous interiors made the place a pearl of the Kraków's restaurant establishments.

In one of the two dining halls of the Szara restaurant our guests can admire a beautiful arched vault, with a polychrome by Józef Mehoffer (1869-1946), a great Polish painter also recognized to be the Master of Art Nouveau decorativeness and of applied graphics. We recommend making reservations, especially for dinners, because there are always lots of regular and new guests arriving. Our cuisine specializes in European dishes, and we need to mention our deliciously cooked fish (salmon and pike perch) and our famous fish soup, as well as sirloin served in various ways (e.g. tournedos or plankstek), not to mention our veal (tenderloin or schnitzel) which cannot be matched by anyone else.

Bernardynska Street
