It takes some doing but the Hard Rock Cafe Prague is a contender for the title of both the most attractive building in the Czech capital and the most beautiful Hard Rock Cafe in the world. Enjoy delicious American fare in the Renaissance-style V.J. Rott House while admiring a dazzling rock memorabilia collection that includes a black faux fur vest worn by Jimi Hendrix, a signed keyboard used by Depeche Mode and a tuxedo tail coat, top hat and cane worn by Madonna during her 1985 Virgin Tour, among other items.

Like all great revolutions, the Hard Rock Cafe wasn’t meant to succeed. It was 1971 and as the Swinging Sixties had given way to the Super Seventies, fashions and tastes were changing. Two hungry young Americans were in London and couldn’t find a decent place to eat a decent burger… so they opened up a joint in the English capital. Their landlord didn’t think it would last and gave them just a six-month lease. Four decades later, there almost 200 Hard Rock Cafes in more than 50 countries worldwide.

The first T-shirt hit the streets in ‘74 and the first piece of memorabilia came, fittingly, by chance in ‘79 when Eric Clapton asked to hang his Lead II Fender guitar over his favourite bar stool and thus mark as his spot. Today, the rock 'n' roll collection has more than 74,000 pieces and is the largest of its kind. By 1982, the Hard Rock Cafe had gone global and the rest, as they say, is history (that’s still being written)!

Be bedazzled by the brilliance of Prague on this bus and boat tour of all the sites. Discover a mélange of stunning architecture, from gothic, renaissance and baroque to neoclassical, art nouveau and cubist. With recorded commentaries in seven languages you’ll quickly get to grips with the city’s amazing architecture.

From Baroque palaces to a hilltop castle, hidden courtyards to ancient domed chapels, the small cobbled streets of Prague are a jewellery box full of quirky hidden treasures. Your 90-minute bus tour will take in the brightest gems, from the fabulously quirky Dancing House by the river to St Cyril and Methodius Cathedral. See the fountains in huge Charles Square and the beautifully ornate National Museum, before rolling through the characterful Jewish Quarter, birthplace of Franz Kafka.

Then climb aboard your boat for a leisurely one-hour trip on the Vltava, the longest river in the Czech Republic. Pass underneath some of the world’s most beautiful bridges, including the famous medieval Charles Bridge. The 620-metre-long bridge itself is a masterpiece of architecture, particularly the gothic Old Town tower. A favourite spot for locals and visitors alike, spot baroque statues, buskers and hawkers as you pass under its arches. Come and experience the jewels of the Golden City with this bus and boat tour of Prague.

Moving with the wind in a smooth motion, you will gaze down upon villages, castles, lakes and forests, breathtaking views of the countryside landscape. Every hot air balloon landing is celebrated with a champagne toast and a commemorative flight certificate making your experience unforgettable, one that will stay with you for years to come.

Join us for a Hot Air Balloon Flight! We offer you an adventure and you might get even more!

The flight is taking place, mainly, in the vicinity of the picturesque area of Konopište Castle which is situated 40 km south of Prague. We operate throughout the year but we are only able to fly in favourable weather: rainless, the visibility to be at least 5 km and the wind to be less than 4 m/sec. Morning flights take place no later than 2 hours after the sunrise. Evening flights take place in the last 2 hours before the sunset. We aim to fly for roughly one hour following preparations of about 30 minutes. There is no age limit, however the children must be accompanied by an adult.

The hot air balloon is moving very quietly in the heights from 1 till 500 meters. We are flying with the wind, which has various direction in different heights. Pilot controls the balloon by warming the air inside the envelop and so he changes the height of the flight according to the air layers, taking different direction given by the wind.

After landing and handing over the certificate, you will be transferred by our company´s vehicle back to the starting place. Advisable clothes: we recommend outdoor clothing, depending on the current temperature, and comfortable shoes. A hat or a cap is, also, suggested.

Ballooning is one of the safest means of transports or sports. Furthermore, we always put a strong focus on a professional attitude and passenger safety, i.e. you will be in the hands of very experienced professional pilots.

We are flying in the favorable weather: rainless, good visibility and limitation of wind speed. Morning flights must take place no lather then two hours after sunrise and evening flights no later than two hours before sunset. Flights over the day are not possible because of turbulences caused by the heated atmosphere. Flights over the Prague city are not possible. The flight itself takes approximately 1 hour, but the total time allocated to this activity must be 3-4 hours.

The location and beauty of Konopiste Castle is comparable to Karlsteijn Castle, however, a lot less touristic. The castle dates back to 1280 AD and has a rich history.
Archduke Ferdinand of Austria bought the castle in 1887 and to ensure a steady supply of Quality beer, he decided to buy the beer brewery located 2km down the road. He humbly renamed it Ferdinand Brewery. To this day, this refreshing beer is sold around the Czech Republic, including Prague.

After a tour of the Castle, we make our way to the brewery, to have a tour of this historic brewery. Obviously, a beer tasting must be done to verify the claims of the brewers! Once our thirst has been quenched, an early dinner is in order. Although the little town of Benesov has several good restaurants, we have chosen a top restaurant for our tour. The restaurant is located on the cozy town square and its excellent Italian orientated kitchen caters to everybody’s taste. Weather permitting; we will be able to enjoy this quality food in their beautiful garden.
Fully satisfied with good food, good beer and great memories, we start the return journey to Prague.

The castle was built in 1348 by the order of Charles IV, King of Bohemia, Holy Roman Emperor. Charles intended to use Karlsteijn as a storage location for the Crown jewels, holy relics and the treasury. Nowadays, Karlsteijn is a popular destination and often used as movie set. Although close to Prague’s city borders, the castle lies in the middle of beautiful nature, even “mountainous” terrain.

Under supervision of a guide we will visit the castle after which we will have a serene stroll through the old streets, filled with souvenir shops in authentic buildings. During this walk, there will be time for refreshment and delicious snacks. Once we have energized ourselves, our bus will take you back to Prague where you can complete your day of discovery or join us on our Prague Castle evening tour!

Vyšehrad translates to “The High Castle” and is said to be Prague’s first Castle Vyšehrad is seen as the mythical birthplace of Prague, although this is still an ongoing debate between archaeologists and historians.

According to an ancient legend, Vyšehrad was founded in the 10th century by Princess Libuše, legendary ancestor of the Premyslid dynasty and the Czech people as a whole. As stated earlier, according to some archaeologists and historians, Vyšehrad might have been built before the original Prague castle, as early as the 9th century. Vyšehrad is a popular destination for many locals, not only because of its fantastic views over Prague and the sights, but also because it has a wonderful park, where many come to relax and take a romantic stroll. Beside the Park, it has the magnificent Church of St. Peter and Paul, dating back to the 11th century, which all by itself has an intriguing history.

Right next to the church, there is probably the most significant and important cemetery in the Czech Republic. Famous people like composers Smetana and Dvorák, as well as artist, art nouveau painter and designer Alphonse Mucha have been laid to rest here. Even to this day, dignitaries, politicians and other famed people are honoured at this cemetery. The history and mystery of what is Vyšehrad, will intrigue and enchant you!
