Travel in a catamaran in search of the Dolphins and witness also the stunning landscape of the Sado Estuary, the coast of Tróia and of Arrabida. This journey is an opportunity to learn a little more of the lives of these magnificent sea mammals, their habitat and habits.
The Sado Dolphins are a unique case in Portugal and rare worldwide. During the Summer we will stop off the coast of Arrabida for a swim too.( Subject to scheduled visit timetables) Then discover the Serra d'Arrabida by Jeep and learn about its lost horizon and traditions, visiting on the way convents and palaces - with an obligatory stop at the Caves José Maria da Fonseca in Azeitão, for wine tasting and a tour of the village of Sesimbra. The tour includes the boat trip, and wine tasting - but not lunch.

Join us in Setubal to set off in search of the resident dolphin community living freely in the Sado estuary and coast. These majestic animals are a rare sight in Europe, and as the catamaran sails through the waters, you can learn even more about these fascinating mammals, their habitat and habits.
Travel through the waters of the estuary and off the coast of Tróia and Arrabida to set off on a voyage through a protected bio-diverse area. Witness the stunning lush landscape roll on by, and you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the many species of birds that inhabit the reserve. During the summer we make a stop off the coast of Arrabida for a refreshing dip in the cooling waters.
Take this full day tour and discover the north of Lisbon. We will leave the city through a landscape dotted with windmills and orchards, driving towards Óbidos, where we make our first stop. You’ll be charmed by the harmonious architecture of this medieval walled town, make sure you don’t leave without trying the delicious local cherry liqueur.
After leaving Óbidos, our next stop will be Alcobaça. The main attraction here is the imposing church that marks the introduction of the Gothic style in Portugal where you can admire the elegant tombs of the Portuguese Romeo and Juliet, Dom Pedro and Inês de Castro. We will make a break so that you can enjoy lunch in a typical Portuguese restaurant. After that, our next stop will be Nazaré, a traditional fishing village where you will have plenty of time to discover the fascinating legends and traditions of this jewel of Portugal’s Atlantic coast.
Our fourth and final stop will be Batalha, where you will be dazzled by the grandeur and delicacy of this Dominican Monastery, a late Gothic architectural masterpiece declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here lie the remains of Prince Henry the Navigator, responsible for the early development of European exploration and maritime trade with other continents and mentor of the Portuguese maritime adventure. We will drive on to Fatima where you can visit the world-famous Catholic Shrine and even attend a mass. The tour ends with the drive back to Lisbon.
Spend a full day exploring the city of Évora, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, a mosaic of culture, history and traditions. Several kilometers after leaving Lisbon and crossing the Tagus River on the Vasco de Gama suspension bridge, you will be entranced by a bucolic landscape dotted with cork trees, olive groves and vineyards.
You will know you have arrived at the city of Évora when you see its old city walls and dazzling whitewashed houses. Get ready to be entranced as you wander around the narrow streets of this jewel dating back over 2000 years and travel back in time as you visit the main sights: the Roman Temple of Diana, the Gothic Cathedral, Saint Francis Church with its Chapel of Bones, and the sixteenth century University.
The visit will also allow you to enjoy the full range of handicrafts the Alentejo region has to offer; you will admire the famous wares made of cork, pottery and copper. At the same time you will have the chance to sample the wide variety of products used in the preparation of the dishes of one of Portugal’s most renowned and richest cuisines.
We’ll take a break where you can recharge your batteries over a lunch in a traditional Portuguese restaurant. In the afternoon, will depart towards Azeitão, where you will visit one of the oldest and most important wineries in Portugal. At the end of the visit, you will get to taste the traditional Moscatel de Setúbal. Then it’s time drive back to Lisbon after a memorable day.
