This circuit using local routes alternates history with breath-taking views, where the participants will end the day with a better understanding of the importance of the Moorish heritage of the Algarve, and the origins of the later Discoveries... with explanations on the vegetation unique to the micro-climate of Monchique and the most SW region of mainland Europe; amongst other points of interest.
Beginning with the Moorish capital Silves, conquered for the first time in 1189, time is given to visit the Castle and the Baroque/Gothic Cathedral, stimulating the imagination of times gone by! On our way up into the predominately eucalyptus mountains of Monchique, and before arriving at Algarve's highest point, this adventure allows one to take in the atmosphere of Caldas de Monchique, a picturesque spa village founded by the Romans; famed by its spring waters, it was even visited by the Monarchy for its healing properties.
Passing cork trees as well, Foia at 902m invites to deeply breathe the fresh air, and geographically locates you in relation to Portugal's coastline. The scenic route down towards the west coast, takes us to where a typical lunch is served. The afternoon continues to the rugged ''Costa Vicentina'', beaches provide a place to ''stretch the legs'' and admire the grandeur of the Atlantic!
Famous for Henry the Navigators' School, the town of Sagres is the gateway to Cape St. Vincent, and the lighthouse high above sea-level marks the point where the coast veers towards the Mediterranean... After this visit which once again challenges the senses, the drive now east takes everyone back in the knowledge that the day was very worthwhile!
After boarding at Albufeira's Marina, we'll start the first part of our route, heading west. We'll sail about 10 nautical miles (aprox. 18,5 km) by the coastal line, from Albufeira to Alfanzina's beacon, passing by Algarve's most beautiful beaches and spectacular caves.
During this route, our guests will have the opportunity of enjoying a refreshing dive in the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Upon reaching the beacon, the ''Ocean Drive'' will set course to deeper waters, in searching of dolphins' watching. Our guests will by then be enjoying the feeling of open sea navigation and, at the same time, appreciate the spectacular panoramic view of algarve's most beautiful coast sight.

On your first day you’ll visit the famous Portuguese Sun Coastline: Sintra with its manuelino style palaces. Drive through Cascais, Estoril and Belém, with time to visit Jerónimos Monastery, Torre de Belém and the Monument of Discoveries, classified as Humanity Heritages by UNESCO. Check in at a 4 stars hotel (BB served). Fado eve with dinner (not included) in typical restaurant in Bairro Alto (Old part of Lisbon).
On the second day, you’ll visit the old quarters of Lisbon: Alfama with its steep streets and picturesque houses. Stop at the centre of Cidade Pombalina (downtown). Free time to sightseeing, shopping and lunch (not included). Return journey passing through Parque das Nações (Expo 98) and Vasco da Gama bridge (the longest bridge in Europe).

For the youngers offers a mini water park to play safely.

The XI MEDIEVAL FAIR OF SILVES will take palce between the 8th and the 17th of August 2014. The Centre of the City will be filled with Historical Recreations, Jousting, Animals, Dancing, Parades; Crafts and Cuisine, that will give a special sparkle and colour to the city.
Dolphin shows, rides and even alligators await you at this animal and marine park near Albufeira. It’s the only one of its kind in Portugal and on this trip, we’ll take you there and back and pay your entrance fee. Once through the gates, most people make a beeline for the dolphin shows. Take a seat beside the show pool and watch spellbound as a group of these playful mammals perform amazing acrobatics and funny feats at the command of their trainers. The kids will love it to bits. Dolphins aside, you’ll find plenty more to grab your interest. Cue cheeky sealion shows, birds of prey exhibitions, an alligator park and an eye-popping 4D cinema. For thrill-seekers, meanwhile, there’s a waterpark complete with a big wheel, pirate boat, flume and mini rollercoaster.
