La primera parte del recorrido se centra en el territorio Siena y empieza con una visita a Monteriggioni, un pequeño pueblo que todavía conserva la esencia de la época medieval. Entre las paredes de esta antigua fortificación, construida en el s.XIII, se hallan las 14 torres que Dante comparó con los Gigantes del Infierno en su obra “La divina comedia”. Don’t miss the Ferrari Museum in Maranello with cars, images and trophies that have marked the history of the brand. If you select the second option you will enjoy a 40 minutes boat ride and you will see more spectacular beaches with crystal clear water. The guided tour starts from your hotel, where the official guide will welcome you to Sicily. A private bus/car will take you to Ortygia, the island at the eastern end of Syracuse separated from it by a narrow channel and connected by three bridges. The island, which is in the World Heritage UNESCO list, is an extremely popular place for tourism, shopping, entertainment, but it includes also a great deal of important baroque architecture of 17th and 18th centuries, and various other places of interest. Get away from the tourist crowds and explore the mesmerizing maze of La Giudecca, Ortygia’s old Jewish Quarter. The area, accessed by way of Ponte Nuovo, is the best for exploring on foot.
Later, departure by private bus/car and guided visit of the Archeological site and Greek theatre, which dates back at least until the 5th Century BC. At the end of the visit, the tour will continue with the baroque town of Noto which provides a spectacular composition of streets and buildings in the Baroque, from nobile palaces such as Palazzo Ducezio to religious complexes - the Cathedral of San Nicolò, for example.
