You will experience an unforgettable day discovering the most impressive Ligurian landscapes. This is an area, declared World Heritage by UNESCO, where earth and sea fuse to create a unique and unforgettable landscape. The area consists of eighteen kilometers of rocky coasts made of caves, beaches and paths with breathtaking landscapes. The tour in 5 Terre will continue by boat and by train.

Tourists will visit the village of MANAROLA, a tiny urban jewel full of typical Genoese’s style ‘case-torri’, the village of VERNAZZA overlooked by the remains of a castle and a Medieval cylindrical tower from the XI century, the village of RIOMAGGIORE, a XIII century village famous for its wine where we will walk through its characteristic paths, the village of MONTEROSSO, known as “the pearl of 5 Terre”, an ancient fishing village that will catch our attention with the beauty of its beaches and the rich vegetation on the rocks. Here a delicious three-course fish-based lunch will be served in a typical restaurant perched on a cliff with a beautiful view of the bay. Afterwards we will taste the local ‘limoncino ligure’ in a typical wine shop in the city centre. In the afternoon we will have free time to swim or to visit the centre of the village.

Lucca and Pisa are two of the most important historical towns in Tuscany and are not-to-be-missed sights for tourists visiting the region. In this tour you will immerse yourself in the history and traditions of the two Tuscan cities that are close in proximity, yet very different in personality.

A charming Tuscan landscape will be the frame to your day, spent relaxingly in company of our authorised guides. Lucca is to be found along the road that leads to the coast from Florence. It is a distinctive city of art and Renaissance style surrounded by walls interrupted by beautiful gates and ramparts. The day starts with a pleasant free walk along a section of the town walls to enjoy a beautiful view over the roofs, alleys, house-towers, churches and marvellous noble palazzos.

Then the tour continues with the visit to Piazza Anfiteatro, Guinigi Tower, St. Martin’s Cathedral and the typical Street of Antiques shops in the old town centre. After that you will be driven to Pisa, where you will have free time for lunch on arrival. Our guide will show you the most important squares and monuments in Pisa: the famous Piazza dei Miracoli with the Leaning Tower, the Cemetery and the Cathedral (visit to the interior). Free time available. The tour continues with a visit to a typical local winery, where you will taste a sampling of local wines.

PISA, one of the most visited cities in Tuscany, is famous for its Leaning Tower and the beautiful Piazza dei Miracoli, which are the most beautiful monumental complexes in the world. The town’s most prosperous period was undoubtedly the 12th century. This is witnessed by the urban shape of the old town centre with many buildings, squares and alleyways that run along the river Arno, which was for centuries the major line of communication that swarmed with life.

It has always been an estuary town and was already an important naval base in Roman times intensifying trade in the Mediterranean ever since the 11th century. Pisa is also famous for one of the most prestigious higher learning institutions of Europe: the Scuola Normale Superiore. An authorised city guide will accompany you in the visit to the exterior of the Leaning Tower and Monumental Cemetery. The Cathedral will be visited inside. Free time available afterwards.

Visit the beautiful region of Chianti with us and immerse yourselves in the picturesque Tuscan scenery that you have always imagined. During the tour you will see the characteristic fortress of Monteriggioni and Castellina in Chianti.

In Monteriggioni you will find some shops specialized in typical Tuscan products, as well as elegant cafés where you can stop and enjoy a coffee or a gelato. The tour continues with a visit to a charming wine estate where you will take part in a guided tour of the wine cellars in order to gain insight into the various stages of wine production and in a tasting of the various wines that the winery produces, paired with samples of sliced cold meats, bruschetta and salami. Subsequently, the tour includes a second tasting of olive oil and wine in another typical cellar.

The tour includes: Visit of Monteriggioni fortress and a local winery, visit of Castellina in Chianti, visit to a famous estate with tour of the wine cellars and sampling of wines, oil and balsamic vinegar, snack with sliced cold meats and typical salami and the opportunity to buy wine, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, cheese and herbs.

From a religious pilgrimage site to a famous film setting: join our tour through the rolling green hills of Tuscany and Umbria and discover the artistic jewels of Assisi, Cortona and Perugia. You will immerse yourself in the setting of the famous movie ‘Under the Tuscan Sun’, which was filmed in Cortona in 2003. Assisi, San Francesco’s birthplace, stands on the top of a hill overlooking a picturesque valley surrounded by gentle slopes and vineyards. Following San Francesco and Santa Chiara’s footsteps, you will be guided along winding streets and alleyways to the historical and artistic treasures of this Medieval town. In the superb Basilica of San Francesco d’Assisi, gazing Giotto’s frescoes of San Francesco’s life, you will learn the history of this important spiritual centre. There will be some free time to stroll around and relax in the enchanting atmosphere of this Umbrian jewel.

The tour ends in Perugia with the opportunity to stroll through the old town in search of ‘springs and fountains’, ‘beautiful views’, ‘Etruscan walls and doors’, ‘parks and gardens’ through trails that wind between the five historic districts of the city: Porta Sole, Porta Sant’Angelo, Porta Santa Susanna, Eburnea Gate and Porta San Pietro. The city, founded by the Etruscans, is rich in history and monuments, including La Fontana Maggiore, which is one of the main monuments in the city and a crucial example of medieval sculpture, the Etruscan Arch of Augustus, which is the largest monument among Etruscan remains, the gateway of the Etruscan walls, the Palazzo dei Priori and the Rocca Paolina.

Upon arrival you will be offered a tasty appetizer in the small square overlooking the little port. A visit to the Church of San Giorgio or Brown Castle, a stroll down to the lighthouse or a hike along any of the numerous pathways over the mountain down to the village of San Fruttuoso offer delightful sensations, enhanced by the views of spectacular nature drenched in Mediterranean sunshine.

Subsequently the boat arrives in San Fruttuoso, a small fishing village located in a splendid bay at the foot of Mount Portofino, reachable only by sea or on foot, following the trails of Portofino Park. The extraordinary spot is dominated by the Abbey of San Fruttuoso di Capodimonte. This splendid monument, now part of the heritage of FAI - the Italian Environment Found - has extremely old origins, dating back to the 8th century. Around the abbey develop a small beach, a church, the tower of the Doria and a few fishermen’s cottages that are reflected in emerald blue sea, on a dark green background of pine trees. Here we have free time for a nice relaxing bath in the limpid and crystalline water or sunbathing on the beach. An underwater statue of Christ, known as the Christ of the Depths, protector of divers, stands at the bottom of the Bay.
