Discover Cinque Terre by boat and train. First you will reach Portovenere, an elegant and popular touristic destination where nature and human architecture are perfectly balanced. Then the tour will take you through the Cinque Terre National Park by train and/or by ferry boat.
Visit the village of Manarola, a tiny urban jewel full of typical Genoese style ‘case-torri’, and Vernazza, overlooked by the remains of a castle and an 11th century medieval cylindrical tower. We continue to Riomaggiore, a 13th century village known for its wine. Walk along its characterful paths admiring its pastel coloured buildings reflecting in the sea.
Next we head to the village of Corniglia, the only village of Cinque Terre not in contact with the sea, rising dramatically on top of a cliff. Visit the village of Monterosso, known as the “pearl of the Cinque Terre”, an ancient fishing village that is sure to catch your attention with its beautiful beaches and rich vegetation.
In a traditional restaurant overlooking the bay, you’ll be served a delicious three-course fresh fish lunch. Enjoy a tasting of the local limoncino in the centre before making the most of some free time for swimming or simply wandering the picturesque streets.

A visit to the Church of San Giorgio or Brown Castle, a stroll down to the lighthouse or a hike along any of the numerous pathways over the mountain down to the village of San Fruttuoso offer delightful sensations, enhanced by the views of spectacular nature drenched in Mediterranean sunshine.
Subsequently the boat arrives in San Fruttuoso, a small fishing village located in a splendid bay at the foot of Mount Portofino, reachable only by sea or on foot, following the trails of Portofino Park. Here we have free time for a nice relaxing bath in the limpid and crystalline water or sunbathing on the beach. A underwater statue of Christ, known as the Christ of the Depths, protector of divers, stands at the bottom of the Bay.
Visiting Carrara marble quarries by 4x4 jeep is an unforgettable experience. You will enjoy the charm of exclusive places otherwise inaccessible for visitors on their own. Moreover, you will be given detailed explanations about both ancient and modern excavation methods in direct contact with quarrymen in work days, while cutting marble or loading huge blocks on trucks.
