Spend a day sampling the old and the new Shanghai has to offer, a mix of modern sights and historical sights of the city. The tour will visit the French Concession of Shanghai: established in 1849, it was first a settlement for the French it was expanded in the early 20th Century with residents of other nationalities. Wuzhen is an ancient water town which has the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal running through it. A prosperous town due to its location, Wuzhen has a history of over 1000 years and is rich in cultural heritage. An unusual attraction in Wuzhen is the Jiangnan Hundred Bed Museum. This museum is the first in China to collect and exhibit ancient beds of the Jiangnan area, some of which date back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

A handicraft for which Wuzhen is famous for is the production of their flower printed blue cloth. With a history of over 1000 years, local people still follow the traditional techniques of printing and dyeing the embossed blue cloth. Many examples of delicate woodcarving can be found at the Jiangnan Woodcarving Hall. It was formerly the home of the Xu family in Dongzha.
