This day out lets your kids meet life-size versions of their favourite plastic characters. Knights, pirates and a farmer will tower over your little ones as you make your way around the Playmobil FunPark and factory. It’s the company’s second largest factory and the only one where you can see the toys being made. You’ll be shown how the 3,995 different characters are brought to life, from a pile of plastic pellets. There’s also a chance to make your very own Playmobil figure. After the guided tour, it’s the part the kids will really love – the FunPark. There are themed indoor zones and an outdoor playground, where they can ride pigs, horses and crocodiles – all Playmobil, of course. And while they play, you can take a break in the cafeteria or browse the gift shop, which boasts all the Playmobil you, or your children, could ever wish for.
You better make sure your children have eaten all their spinach before this day trip. As you pull up to the rustic wooden buildings overlooking Anchor Bay, you might think this village looks familiar. That’s because it’s the film set from the 1980s musical, Popeye, starring the late, great Robin Williams. You’ll have the day to explore the village, which took construction workers seven months to build. But, even if your little ones aren’t quite old enough to remember the Sailor Man himself, they can still enjoy shows, rides, mini golf, pools and playhouses. You’ll also find Popeye and his famous friends, including Olive Oyl, Bluto and Wimpy, wandering the set. Once you’ve explored the village, you can take a 20-minute boat trip around the bay. Alternatively, head for the cliffs, where you’ll find panoramic views along Malta’s west coast.

Escape Malta for the day and be seduced by the delights of Sicily with a tour that takes you from Pozzallo, through the ancient port of Catania and to the active Mount Etna.
*Guided bus tour of the city of Catania
*Visit the Sylvester Craters which date back to the 1892 eruption
*Opportunity for shopping
Explore the beauty of Eastern Sicily with a visit to the highest active volcano in Europe, Mount Etna. In a small group you will journey from Malta to Pozzallo (so passports and embarkation cards are needed) and experience a guided tour of the old port of Catania that sits at the base of Mount Etna.
After driving up to the Sylvester Craters, with an ongoing commentary, you will have the opportunity to admire the panoramic views. There is time to buy lunch and indulge in a bit of souvenir shopping to remind you of this memorable trip, before a ride to Modica, like the other towns in the Val di Noto, was badly damaged in the 1693 earthquake and largely rebuilt in Sicilian Baroque style. It is divided into two parts, “higher” Modica and “lower” Modica, which are connected by numerous flights of steps. Palazzi and houses rise from the bottom of the gorge seemingly stacked one on top of the other. Magnificent churches, with their inspiring domes, bell towers and intricate facades, punctuate the red-tiled roofs and one is struck by the uniform beauty of the whole. The centrepiece is undoubtedly the beautiful Church of San Giorgio, though the “Castello dei Conti”, surveying the town from atop a rocky outcrop, is also very impressive.
Modica is custodian of a 400 year tradition of Sicilian chocolate-making. Being part of the Spanish kingdom for so many years meant that Sicily was often one of the first recipients of the new foodstuffs being brought back from South America. Cacao was one of these and today Modica still specialises in making granulous chocolate, often flavoured with chilli pepper, cinnamon or vanilla, that is based on Aztec methods and recipes. Chocolate shops abound and, for the real chocoholic, it is sometimes possible to watch the “chocolatiers” at work. Finally a return to Pozzallo before departing for Malta after a day of exploring the dramatic volcanic region of Catania.
After a twenty minute crossing, on setting foot in Gozo you will note that although both islands are similar in history and development, Gozo has a character entirely of its own. Gozo, which is a three hilled island, is greener and more picturesque than Malta.
During the tour you will visit The National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta Pinu which is a Roman Catholic minor basilica and national shrine located 700 metres from the village of Gharb. A visit to the Crafts Centre is a must. There you will see stone works, marble, traditional food and local lace. You will then visit Victoria which is the capital of Gozo. Victoria is the name given in 1897 by the British government on the accasion of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. The area around Victoria, situated on the hill near the centre of the island has been settled since Neolithic times. In the centre of Victoria lies The Cittadella, a historic fortified city. The Cittadella also called The Citadel is on Malta's tentative list of future World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, who describes it as a small fortified town. An old prison is located within the city, as are the Courts of Justice. You will reach the Cittadella onboard a trackless train.

This is the perfect place to pick up treasures that will remind you of your Malta visit.

Mdina is not only considered to be one of Malta's precious jewels, but this ancient walled city is one of the best medieval fortifications. You will see magnificent views of the entire Maltese landscape. In Mdina you will have some time to relax and enjoy the area.
