London was the most prosperous city in the world for the majority of civilized (and not so civilized) history, and still ranks high today among the world's greatest cities. Take a moment to appreciate that a country the size of Ohio with a negligible resource base dominated the world for over two centuries, and London was at the heart of this imperialism.
Tales of intrigue abound in the city's history, and we recount some of the most enthralling on the Great Crime Tour of London as we delve into the city's greatest crimes, misdemeanors, heists, and political conspiracy at the highest echelons of power.

But seeing the best of what this bustling 13-million person metropolis has to offer doesn’t have to usurp your entire vacation. That’s why City Wonders has crafted a quick-yet-comprehensive strolling tour of the township’s top sites, followed by a jaunt to the quaint English countryside to see where the most famous Londoners - the Royal Family - escape to!
See the best that royal London has to offer in a single morning! Begin your day at the famed and somewhat infamous Tower - former prison and execution site of three Queens of England. Our early morning visit means you will be among the first to enter the Jewel House and view the spectacular crown jewels, which have been held here and locked up for safekeeping every night for the last 600 years. These are the official regalia and vestments used by the Sovereign of the United Kingdom during the coronation ceremony and other noble appearances. This priceless collection includes magnificent orbs, swords, rings, and of course, crowns and sceptres. During your visit you will also be able to see the famous white tower, where it is said that the ‘Princes in the Tower’ were held and supposedly murdered by their Uncle Richard III to usurp the throne from their father, King Edward IV.
Explore London from an iconic 1960s Routemaster bus and see the best of the city, including the Tower of London before the crowds, Borough Market and a guided tour of Westminster Abbey.
Sit back and relax as you round off the day with a delicious afternoon tea in the sumptuous setting of the Cellarium Café which is located inside the breathtakingly beautiful Westminster Abbey. Your afternoon tea consists of a selection of savoury goodies, homemade sweet and savoury scones, a selection of handmade cakes and a pot of loose English Breakfast tea. As this pretty place marks the end of the tour, you don’t need to rush at all; you can have a yarn and sip your tea.
