Peacock Theatre - Portugal Street

New English Ballet Theatre returns with a program showcasing five new works from the UK’s top choreographic talents. The Royal Ballet’s Marcelino Sambe creates his first work for NEBT to the music of Nathan Halpern.

The Royal Ballet’s Kristen McNally and Valentino Zucchetti return to choreograph new pieces, with Zucchetti featuring music by Rachmaninoff, performed live by emerging pianist Anne Lovett.

Daniela Cardim Fonteyne creates a dynamic new piece, highlighting the physicality and youthful energy of the company's dancers, while English National Ballet Associate Artist George Williamson presents Foreign, a new work based on Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy’s poem, set to Brahms' cello sonata and played live.

Harold Pinter Theatre - 6 Panton Street

Direct from a sold out season in New York, Academy and Bafta Award-winner Mark Rylance returns to the West End to perform in Nice Fish, a hit new comic play written by Mark Rylance and Louis Jenkins and directed by Claire van Kampen.

On a frozen Minnesota lake, the ice is beginning to creak and groan. It’s the end of the fishing season and on the frostbitten, unforgiving landscape, two old friends are out on the ice and they are angling for something big, something down there that is pure need, something that, had it the wherewithal, would swallow them whole.

Mark Rylance, in a unique collaboration with critically-acclaimed Minnesotan contemporary prose poet Louis Jenkins, draws on his teenage years in the frozen winters and culture of the American Midwest. Nice Fish is an ice fishing expedition where the ordinary and extraordinary collide. The full New York cast will transfer to London for this limited season. Ron (Mark Rylance) and Erik (Jim Lichtscheidl) play the odd couple, whose ordinary lives are comically exposed in this sublimely playful, profound and very funny play. Kayli Carter, Bob Davis and Raye Birk join them on their journey across the pond to perform in Nice Fish at the Harold Pinter theatre this winter.

McNally’s multi Tony award winning musical, Ragtime.
It is the turn of the 20th Century in New York. An era is exploding. A century is spinning. And the people are moving in rhythm and rhyme to the music of Ragtime. Based on the novel by E.L Doctorow, Ragtime weaves together the story of three groups in America, represented by Coalhouse Walker Jr, a Harlem musician; Mother and her white, middle class family in New Rochelle and Tateh, a Jewish immigrant who has come to America with his daughter seeking a new life.

Their fictional lives become dramatically intertwined with one another as well as with historical figures including Harry Houdini, Booker T. Washington, JP Morgan and Henry Ford. Ragtime the 1998 Tony Awards with 12 nominations, winning 4 including Best Book by Terrence McNally and Best Original Score by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.

Duke of York's Theatre - 45 St Martin's Lane

A major revival of The Dresser by Academy award winning author Sir Ronald Harwood starring Ken Stott and Reece Shearsmith. Olivier Award winner Ken Stott and BAFTA Award winner Reece Shearsmith come together as lead actor and Norman the dresser in this eagerly awaited revival of a wonderfully affectionate and intelligent play about the theatre. Both hilarious and poignant, The Dresser explores the relationship between two men who are reluctantly and inevitably co-dependent. As World War II rages, backstage in a provincial English theatre, an ageing, once-famous classical actor is troubled. Sir, the last in a dying breed of great English Shakespearean actors, is unwilling to take to the stage to deliver his renowned portrayal of King Lear. It falls to his faithful dresser Norman to rouse another great performance from him, to keep both the show and its star from falling apart.

Renowned as Ronald Harwood’s greatest play, The Dresser has been nominated for Olivier and Tony Awards as well as an Academy Award for the screenplay of the film. With a multi-award winning creative team of Ken Stott (Rebus, God of Carnage), Reece Shearsmith (The League of Gentlemen, Inside Number 9) and Sean Foley (The Ladykillers, Jeeves and Wooster) this promises to be an unmissable production of a theatrical classic.

Actor, writer, presenter, comedian and two-time Olivier award-winner Griff Rhys Jones returns to the West End in a hilarious new adaption by Sean Foley and Phil Porter of Moliere’s classic comedy, The Miser. Griff has most recently been seen on stage as Fagin in Cameron Mackintosh’s Oliver, and previously in Feydeau’s An Absolute Turkey.

Fanatical about protecting his wealth, the paranoid Harpagon (Griff Rhys Jones) suspects all of trying to filch his fortune, and will go to any length to protect it. A matchmaker motivated only by money, he sets his sights on wealthy spouses for his children, so his riches are safe from their grubby hands.

As true feelings and identities are revealed will Harpagon allow his children to follow their heart, or will his love of gold prove all-consuming? Passion and purse strings go head to head in this rip roaring comedy, by France’s greatest dramatist.

Featuring the music of Grieg, Beethoven, Debussy, Bach, Chopin and more, performed live on a Steinway concert piano, The Pianist of Willesden Lane is based on performer Mona Golabek’s family story.

Lyttelton Theatre, National - South Bank

From November 1915 to Easter 1916, as the rebellion builds to a climax half a mile away, the disparate residents of a Dublin tenement go about their lives, peripheral to Ireland’s history. Sean O’Casey places a fixed lens to watch as a dozen vivid characters come and go selfless, hilarious and desperate by turns while the heroic myth of Ireland is fought over elsewhere.

BAFTA, Golden Globe and Academy Award nominated JESSE EISENBERG, making his West End debut, is renowned for playing Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network. He also starred in To Rome with Love, directed by Woody Allen and is currently appearing in the blockbuster film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. London born KUNAL NAYYAR is known to audiences across the globe from The Big Bang Theory. His theatre credits include the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Love’s Labors’ Lost.
