Amanda Holden heads a phenomenal cast in this wonderfully funny and heart-warming comedy which charts the lives of seven women and one man attempting to tap their troubles away at a weekly dancing class. Initially all thumbs and left feet, the group is just getting to grip with the basics when they are asked to take part in a charity gala.

Over the course of several months we meet the group, and all of them have a story to tell, There’s haughty Vera, mouthy Maxine and uptight Andy; bubbly Sylvia and shy Dorothy; eager Lynne and cheerful Rose and, of course, Geoffrey. At the piano is the dour Mrs Fraser and spurring them all on, the ever-patient Mavis.

Directed by triple Olivier Award winner Maria Friedman, the stellar cast also includes Angela Griffin, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Tamzin Outhwaite and Nicola Stephenson.

As the alcohol flows and dawn approaches, the young couple are drawn into George and Martha’s toxic games until the evening reaches its climax in a moment of devastating truth-telling.

Imelda Staunton returns to the West End after her Olivier Award-winning performances as Mama Rose in Gypsy and Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd. Her many theatre and film credits include Edward Albee. A Delicate Balance at the Almeida Theatre, her Bafta Award-winning performance in the title role for Vera Drake, and as Dolores Umbridge in the Harry Potter films.

Conleth Hill is perhaps best known for his role as Lord Varys in the HBO television production Game of Thrones. Conleth’s extensive theatre credits, include Quartermaine’s Terms, The Cherry Orchard at the National Theatre and The Producers for which he won an Olivier Award. Hill also won an Olivier Award and Tony Award nomination for Best Actor for Stones In His Pockets.

London Coliseum - St Martin's Lane

The Song of Everlasting Regret is a legendary poem in the canon of Chinese literature, a favorite from the 8th-century Tang dynasty. This year, it will be brought to life by the world-renowned Shanghai Ballet.

It tells the tale of the romance between Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei, his beloved imperial concubine – a story of love, conflict and ultimately, tragedy. Echoes of Eternity is a co-production between the world-renowned Shanghai Ballet and the Shanghai Grand Theatre, featuring choreography by Patrick de Bana that brings the romance of 8th-century China firmly into the present day. This is a powerful, moving exploration of love and loss, a dance extravaganza that’s poetry in motion.

These performances are part of the Shanghai Season at the London Coliseum, a unique collaboration between Shanghai Opera and Shanghai Ballet companies.

Westminster Abbey

Westminster Abbey is one of the world’s great churches, and for 1,000 years has been the site of royal coronations. This incredible 700 year old building is a must-see for any visitor to London and a significant structure in British history. It has welcomed Kings, Queens and statesmen, royal weddings (most recently Prince William and Kate Middleton) and state funerals. Every British monarch since William the Conqueror in 1066 has been crowned in Westminster abbey, the most recent being Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.
