As you float past the city of London, you and your family will be enthralled with dastardly tales of the smugglers, pirates, and mutineers who sailed the Thames, as well as the fate that befell them when caught. Be captivated as your guide conjures images of these scallywags being marched across London Bridge led by a man carrying a silver oar – the symbol of the power of the Admiralty – before facing their punishment.

As you see the Tower of London come into view on the banks of the Thames, it’s time to disembark and admire London Bridge itself, as well as the iconic Tower Bridge – one of the most recognizable bridges in the world - from the best vantage points along the river. These fun resources will ensure children are engaged at every part of the tour.

It’s then time to brave the Tower of London, former notorious prison and execution ground where even members of the Royal family came to a grisly end. Our early morning departure means that your eager historians will be among the first to explore this amazing site. History comes alive for your children as your guide lays bare the Tower’s secrets – see the famous Beefeaters and learn about their proud history and traditions, learn what the ominously-named Traitor’s Gate was used for, and the legend of the beady-eyed ravens that stalk the Tower’s grounds. Marvel at the spectacular crown jewels, see the medieval palace where kings once lived, the towers where prisoners were held, and march along the ramparts as the guards once did defending this incredible fortress, enjoying spectacular views over the river. Follow your guide as they take you straight to the most significant sites, showing your children the very best of this unlikely palace.

Outside Camden Town tube station

This London tour will take you on a street art-inspired stroll through the city’s historic Camden neighbourhood. You’ll escape the main streets to explore the hidden stories being told by artists along the backstreets and thoroughfares — and see an alternative side to Camden not usually seen by tourists, or even locals!

Built around canals and boasting some of the capital’s best market stalls, Camden is a must-see for visitors who are looking to get familiar with the alternative side of London. We will take you off the beaten tourist track and let you experience the area as a local. You will find out why the area is the fourth-most-visited neighbourhood in London; half a million people visit Camden weekly.

Camden is one of the most vibrant, interesting and ‘happening’ boroughs in London. There’s a myth held that Camden is only visited because of its markets — but while the markets are a big reason why most people visit the area, Camden has a lot more to offer. It has a vibrant music scene with venues like Barfly and the famous Koko club. It’s no wonder that street art started to appear in this bohemian area a few years ago!

On this Camden tour, you’ll see great murals by some of London’s leading street artists, as well as pieces by international artists — all in all, we’ll take in more than 100 pieces of street art, and by the end of the tour, you’ll see Camden as a dynamic canvas where artists leave their creative marks. You’ll learn how an art form that was once considered vandalism now creatively represents the personalities of cities all around the world.

This tour is for people who want to see what is not in the guidebooks. We will show you great art, the local neighbourhood, and the people of this city. Find out why London is a street art capital frequently visited by urban artists who are eager to leave their mark. You will become familiar with graffiti terms and unwritten codes like the rules for painting over someone’s work, and what a ‘tag’ is. You’ll also learn how artists from all over the world can paint in London with the aid of ‘wall organisers.’ We will highlight the difference between street art and graffiti and explain how public art can benefit local communities.

All our guides are very active on the London street art scene, and are a mix of photographers, bloggers, wall organisers who source legal spaces for artists, or a combination of all of these — giving them the perfect insight for answering all your street art questions!

In traditional belief and fiction, a ghost is the soul or spirit of a deceased person or animal that can appear, in visible form or other manifestation, to the living. Descriptions of the apparition of ghosts vary widely from an invisible presence to translucent or barely visible wispy shapes, to realistic, life-like visions. The belief in manifestations of the spirits of the dead is widespread, dating back to animism or ancestor worship in pre-literate cultures. Certain religious practices—funeral rites, exorcisms, and some practices of spiritualism and ritual magic—are specifically designed to appease the spirits of the dead.

Ghosts are generally described as solitary essences that haunt particular locations, objects, or people they were associated with in life, though stories of the phantom armies, ghost trains, phantom ships, and even ghost animals have also been recounted. As one of the great urban centres of the modern world, the chaotic metropolis of London has one of the densest concentrations of paranormal phenomena, and this spooky walking tour brings the sometimes terrifying otherworldliness of this great city to life, or should we say death.....m...mwa...mwah....mwahhahahahahah! A valid Travelcard/Oystercard is required to take part in the London Ghost Walk as it involves numerous train journeys across London, some of them haunted!
