Other information: Children under five years of age take part free of charge. Wear suitable comfortable clothing for riding a bike off-road. Embárcate en un viaje panorámico de 2 horas y media de duración hasta Hue, a través del paso Hai Van, que te ofrece unas vistas espectaculares de las montañas, el mar, las playas idílicas y los pueblos. Al llegar, visita la ciudadela real, la Ciudad Púrpura Prohibida dentro de la ciudad imperial, la gloria pasada de Hue. La ciudadela real está compuesta por tres recintos amurallados, cada uno dentro de otro, como si fuera una ciudad dentro de otra ciudad.
La ciudad imperial alberga palacios, pabellones de ceremonias civiles y religiosas y audiencias oficiales con los ciudadanos. La Ciudad Prohibida se encuentra dentro de la ciudad imperial y fue el palacio real usado exclusivamente por la familia imperial, sus concubinas y sus criados. Esta parte de la ciudad fue la que más sufrió durante la guerra de Vietnam y hoy solo quedan ruinas. La ciudad fue declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco desde hace veinte años y los trabajos de restauración son constantes.
Después del almuerzo, súbete a bordo de un barco con destino a la pagoda de Thien Mu, una de las estructuras arquitectónicas dedicadas al culto religioso más antiguas de Hue. Continúa hasta la tumba de Khai Dinh y contempla su espectacular entrada flanqueada por pilares con forma de dragón. Su arquitectura es de estilo moderno con mezclas de diseños europeos y orientales.
La siguiente parada es la tumba de Tu Duc, un tranquilo lugar de descanso rodeado de paredes que cuenta con bosques de pinos y un pabellón junto al lago de flores de loto. Se dice que el emperador pescaba, escuchaba música y escribía poesía aquí. Más que como una tumba, Tu Duc la usó como un jardín de ocio o de recreo; de hecho, le sirvió de segunda residencia. El mausoleo fue construido entre los años 1864 y 1867.
