You’ll get a real taste of Moroccan life on this trip, as we travel along the Atlantic coast. We’ll start off exploring the fishing village of Tifnit, a favoured spot with surfers, before making our way to Sidi Rbat – the village where Jonah was said to have washed up after being disgorged from the whale. We’ll see the beach, the protected sand dunes of the Massa Reserve – home to an A to Z of birdlife – and the cliff encampments, carved out by local fishermen to provide shelter. We’ll finish the day with a wander around Tiznit, a pretty town that’s famous for its silver jewellery.
Slip on some comfy shoes and prepare to channel Tarzan – or Jane – as you swing through the trees. At Souss Park, you’ll harness up and clamber up into a forest of eucalyptus trees, to climb and fly on zip wires through the tree tops. It’s suitable for all ages, so the whole family can get involved.
You’ll get off the beaten track on this tour, as your 4x4 takes you out to traditional Berber villages and across desert dunes. You’ll start off with a wander through an argan forest, followed by a visit to the souk, where you can pick up products made with argan oil – it’s especially good as a skin and hair moisturiser. Keep your eyes peeled for goats while you’re in the forest – they love to climb up into the trees to nibble on the fruit. From here, we’ll drive to the Youssef Ben Tachfine Dam, before heading off-road into rolling sand dunes. Our final stop for the day is Oued Massa Nature Reserve. It’s one of Morocco’s best bird-watching sites, and is home to – among others – flamingos, storks, cranes, and rare bald ibises.
Get your adrenaline pumping with a trip to Agadir’s go-karting track. After a safety briefing, you’ll don your helmet and clamber into a kart. You’ll be able to whiz round the track a few times to get a feel for your vehicle, before a 10-minute stopwatch session, and the main event – a grand prix-style race.
Explore Agadir the traditional way – by calèche. Your horse-drawn carriage will first take you to the area around the River Souss, famous for its birdlife. You’ll then pass through authentic Berber villages as you head back towards Agadir, getting a glimpse of local life in these quiet settlements. Once you’re back in Agadir, you’ll hop out of your calèche and switch to two feet, exploring the medina on foot. Your guide will lead you through the maze of stalls, before leaving you with some free time to shop for spices and leather goods on your own.
