Left your guidebook at home? This whirlwind tour of Agadir's hot spots will give you your bearings in no time. Soak up the history of the local Berber people at the tiny Museum of Agadir. Absorb the views from the sandcastle-like ruins of Agadir's Kasbah. And then head down into the town for a whistle-stop tour of the great and the good. Slow the pace down at the market where you can haggle with the souk owners, sip mint tea and breathe in the heady aroma of exotic spices. Finish the day back in time for dinner.

If you want to see the sights and sounds of heady Marrakech, this two day trip contains all the best bits of the city plus a visit to the Portuguese town of Essaouira. On day one, you'll be whisked to the Imperial City of Marrakech and given a tour of the medina and main sights like the Bahia Palace. Following dinner, this is the best time of day to visit the Jemaa El Fna square where you can watch as the red glow of the sun as it sets. The next day, journey to Essaouira for an altogether more relaxed way of life. Spend the day wandering around the narrow streets, sampling the fresh seafood and checking out the sights in this enchanting town.

It's easy to see why Essaouira is often dubbed the ‘Jewel of the Atlantic'. This place has earned such a following that Orson Welles filmed Othello here in 1949. Spend the morning touring the fishing port, medina and artistic complex. In the afternoon, you can stroll around this charming town with its age-old souks, fish auctions and blue and white seaside houses. And that's without even touching on the reams of golden sands on offer.

The only way to get around Morocco. Tower above people for a two hour camel trek through the countryside to the Souss Bird sanctuary. The journey takes you through a traditional local village and the National Park in Agadir, where if you're lucky, you might see some flamingos. Then it's time for a rest from the saddle and get dressed up in traditional Berber costume for a quirky photo. Back at the ranch, finish off the ride with a glass of sweet Moroccan tea and some lip-smacking pastries.

You'll get a great introduction to Morocco's most bewitching city on this full-day tour. Sitting in the shadow of the colossal Atlas Mountain range, Marrakech is a rich tapestry of spice-scented souks, street magicians and steaming food carts. When you arrive, after a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Agadir, you'll be led to the Koutoubia Mosque, to gaze up at its minaret. Topped with four copper globes and piercing the sky at almost 70 metres high, it's one of the Red City's most recognisable sights. You'll also tick off the beautiful Bahia Palace, and the Koran School, which dates back to the 14th-century, and is still in use by students today. There'll be a stop for lunch halfway through the day, before a visit to a traditional Berber chemist and the city's souks. Here, you'll have a chance to rummage the stalls for bargains, so you can stock up on shiny copperware, delicate jewellery and hand-woven embroidery. After dinner, you'll have some free time to take in the sights and sounds of the iconic Jemaa el-Fna Square.
