Welcome to an invitation to tour the mythical Andean Lake district, through the most beautiful natural route to connect Chile & Argentina. A route that over 400 years ago, the Huilliches Indians utilized as a trade route and then the Jesuit priests utilize to establish the religious missions in the Nahuel Huapi region. Today after 4 centuries we invite you to a magical place, fall in love with the nature in its purest form, to discover the secrets of Patagonia and marvel at our volcanoes, lakes, ancient forests and the warmth of our people on an unforgettable journey that will make you think that maybe magic is real. Cruce Andino is a combination of seven different strechtes along the Andes Mountain Range, three of them are sailings by three different lakes which represents 70% of the total trip, joined by land portions made by bus. This journey also includes overnight in Peulla in Hotel Natura (Chile), a beautiful and sustainable village in the middle of the Andes.
The visit to Puerto Montt begins with a panoramic view from the viewpoint, going downtown through the residential district and government buildings, to the Main Square with its cathedral, the monument to the German settlers, the church of the Jesuits, through Urmeneta street and Antonio Varas street, towards the commercial and harbor zones, on the way to Chinquihue, returning through the fish and seafood market of Angelmó with its colorful handicrafts fair.
Continuing along the Panamerican highway to Puerto Varas, located in front of Llanquihue lake, going down San Francisco street and its parish church (1917), Vicente Perez Rosales Main Square, Municipal Casino, residential districts with their old houses (some of them declared National Monument), by the promenade towards Cerro Philippi, which offers a panoramic view of Puerto Varas and its surroundings.
Departure from your hotel skirting Llanquihue lake, with a view of the volcanoes, going past Villa Ensenada up to Laguna Verde. A brief walk to the lagoon and later to the mountain and ski center Volcán Osorno, at 1,270 m AMSL. Free time to enjoy the beauty of Osorno volcano, with a magnificent view to Llanquihue lake, Ensenada and volcanoes. During the visit, ascent by chairlifts up to the base of the glacier (1,780 m), also with amazing views (chairlift ticket not included). Return to Puerto Varas in the afternoon.
Departure skirting the Llanquihue lake up to Frutillar, founded in 1856 as a boarding port for the settlements by the shore, Frutillar has been experiencing a significant tourist boom for the past few decades, due to the efforts of its inhabitants, who have restored and refurbished the traditional buildings and set up a promenade with flowers by the lake. Visit to the Museo de la Colonización Alemana, an excellent insight to the lifestyle of the second generation of the German settlement; and finally the Ancestor’s Memorial, built to commemorate the first inhabitants, Later, the trip heads Northeast, to Puerto Octay. Lunch on the way to Puerto Octay. Return to Puerto Varas in the afternoon.

Continuing along the Pan-American highway towards the city of Puerto Varas, in front of Llanquihue lake, going down San Francisco street and its parish church (1917), main square, Casino Municipal, residential districts and its old houses, along the promenade that goes by the lake towards Cerro Philippi to enjoy a panoramic view of the city, continuing along the Panamerican highway to the city of Llanquihue. Lunch en route. Departure skirting lake to Frutillar. Visit to Museo de la Colonización Alemana and the handicrafts fair. Return to hotel.
The trip begins by taking the Pan-American highway until Pargua, ferry station to cross the Chacao Channel to Puerto Chacao (20 min stop), a small agricultural village and gate to Chiloé. Continuing towards to Ancud, a particular city with the classic architecture of Chiloé of wooden tiles, plazas and promenades that embellish the surroundings.
Visit to the San Antonio Fort (1770), last garrison where the Spanish flag fluttered. The trip concludes at the Cerro Huaiquén viewpoint, which offers a panoramic view of the city, the Chacao Channel, Cochinos island, and, in front, the continent, with its coasts, cliffs and the Carelmapu small inlet.
Departure skirting Llanquihue lake, with a beautiful view to the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco on the way to the falls of Petrohué river. Time to photo shooting and a walk in the middle of this exuberant vegetation, to then moving onto the Todos los Santos lake, also known as Emerald Lake, due to the bluish-greenish color of the water, framed by the ever-snowed Osorno, Calbuco, Tronador and Puntiagudo volcanoes.
Return to Ensenada to ascends the volcano Osorno. Arrival to the ski and mountain center, which offers an amazing view to the Llanquihue lake and volcanoes of the region (chair lift ticket not included).
Departure along the Pan-American highway, heading North, to arrive to the town of Llanquihue, an important agro-industrial center. From this point, the trip goes skirting the lake, between crops of local products and salmon farms. Arrival to Frutillar. Free time to walk along the promenade and a visit to the Museo de la Colonización.
Later, the trip heads Northeast to Puerto Octay. Lunch en route. Sightseeing of the beautiful architecture of its church (1911), of neogothic style, during the trip. Then, East, by the Maitén beach, passing by Puerto Fonck, La Picada and Blanco river. Near the foothill of the Osorno volcano, a drive-through the town Cascadas, always with a view to the majestic Osorno Volcano. Arrival to the Volcán Osorno ski and mountain center. Free time to enjoy the beautiful landscape (chair lift ticket not included).
Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
