This trip will change your perspective on Jamaica, literally. You'll board a boat and sail into the Caribbean Sea to see the island from long distance. Your captain will chart a course along the coast of Negril and the area's famous Seven Mile Beach. You'll have time to nurse a couple of rum punches while you're onboard and, while the boat lilts over the waves, the sun will start to set. Just before the sun dips below the horizon, your captain will drop anchor in the water near Rick's Café. This cliff-top bar and restaurant is a local institution. People have been watching the sunset here since the Seventies. You'll have the opportunity to go ashore if you want. Alongside the speciality cocktails, this place serves munchies like buffalo wings and shredded shrimp. Alternatively, stay on the boat. From here you should get some great views of the cliff jumpers who hurl themselves off the sheer cliffs that Rick's is built on.
This jungle adventure is just the ticket for adrenaline junkies. It all takes place 700 feet above Ocho Rios, on the leafy Mystic Mountain. You’ll plonk yourself into the seat of a ski slope-style chairlift, which will take you up above the canopy and over the famous Dunn’s River Falls en route to the mountain peak. You’ll have some time to drink in the high-angle views, before moving on to your next activity. Fans of the Disney film, Cool Runnings, will love this bit – a twisty, downhill ride on a track-mounted bobsled. The track ends right by a mountainside infinity pool, and you’ll have the chance to cool off or zoom down the add-on waterslide. Afterwards, you’ll round off the day by zip-lining back down through the jungle. Suspension bridges connect the seven launch-points, and there’s even a 10-metre vertical rappel.
Sightsee through Negril with a stop for shopping and then we continue to the West End of Negril to the world famous Ricks Café, watch the locals jump from the cliffs and perform dives. Listen to the tunes of a local reggae band while watching the majestic sunset.
Enjoy the scenic drive along the north coast, to the historic town of Falmouth where the Swamp Safari Village is located. This is where parts of the movie “Live and Let Die” of James Bond fame was filmed. Here you can see the crocodiles, snakes and other local wildlife up close. After leaving the village, it is a short drive to the Martha Brae River. Here your expert rafts man will take you on a relaxing ride down the river on a hand crafted bamboo raft which was orginally crafted to transport bananas from the plantations, down the rive to the ports. These rafts have been 'redesigned' for two people.
Enjoy the scenic drive along the north coast, to the small town of Falmouth, here you will find the Luminous Lagoon. Shortly after sunset you will board the boat that will take you across the lagoon whose waters are inhabited by microscopic organisms that emit a phosphorescent light when the water is agitated. The boat will stop where you will have the opportunity to swim in the shallow waters and watch your body glow!
Visit and get to know the island’s tourism capital city of ‘Mobay’. We will show you the highlights of the city as well as time for souvenir shopping. As night approaches, visit this 18th Century haunted mansion, home to the wicked “White Witch of Rose Hall” Annie Palmer. On a candlelit tour, hear the story of how Annie killed her three husbands but be careful! Watch out for ghosts that will surely appear & maybe Annie herself!
