Llegada a la playa Bodo donde la tripulación del Dhow árabe le llevará en un crucero a través de Funzi Creek, pasando por islas deshabitadas y bosques de manglares naturales. En la isla Funzi, una visita al histórico pueblo pesquero que estuvo vinculado con el comercio de esclavos cuyas ruinas aún se pueden ver. Continúa con una visita a la escuela del pueblo, a una casa privada y al mercado. A continuación se visita un banco de arena único que emerge del mar en marea baja. Aquí se puede nadar, o simplemente pasear por la arena de color blanco puro en el medio del mar. Se hará un viaje en vela a la isla deshabitada de Kinazini donde le espera un suntuoso almuerzo de mariscos y opciones tanto para los vegetarianos y como para los no vegetarianos. Después del almuerzo, se viajará en canoas hasta el cercano río Ramisi para explorar las numerosas especies de manglares. Usted tendrá la oportunidad de ver cocodrilos y varias especies de aves. A visit to Old Town reveals the rich culture and architectural heritage of Mombasa. Fort Jesus was built by the Portuguese in the 16th-century and is surrounded by narrow streets, ancient mosques and picturesque residential houses. You will visit the old dhow harbour, bazaar and the market, then drive through the Elephant Tusks on Moi Avenue. The tour includes a visit to the Akamba wood carvers, where you can see the carvers at work and buy great value souvenirs all at fixed prices. Lunch is taken at the famous Tamarind restaurant and usually served on a traditional Arabic dhow boat. In the afternoon we visit the Haller Park,where you can meet meet lots of animals and if you're lucky witness feeding time. Kinazini Funzi Dhow is a full day nature excursion with a caring social conscience giving you the opportunity to learn about the wildlife and the people. The day includes a dhow boat trip out to a sand bank close to Funzi island where you have the chance to swim in the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean. You will also travel up the Ramisi River by motorised canoe on the look out for the birds and crocodiles that live in the mangroves.
