A tan solo 80 kilómetros al note de Medellín nos encontramos con Santa Fe de Antioquia, un municipio que parece estancado en la época colonial. Fundada en 1541, fue declarada Monumento Nacional por su extraordinaria arquitectura colonial y, desde entonces, se ha convertido en una de las ciudades más queridas por los colombianos y más visitadas por los turistas.
Llega a la ciudad a través del Túnel de Occidente, el más largo y uno de los más modernos de Latinoamérica, y disfruta de un paseo por el centro. Admira la arquitectura barroca y neoclásica de la catedral Metropolitana, construida con la impresionante cifra de 1.200.000 ladrillos y también declarada Monumento Nacional.
