La excursión sale pronto por la mañana del puerto de Bajo las Sombras. Cruzaremos el brazo Rico del lago Argentino para llegar a la orilla donde te reunirás con los guías de montaña que te llevarán al lugar donde se eligen los crampones.
A continuación, empezaremos la caminata hacia el glaciar desde la morrena sur hasta alcanzar un mirador único, como una puerta de entrada al cielo. En este punto, prepárate para empezar la verdadera aventura. Abróchate los crampones, ponte el arnés y ¡a explorar el glaciar desde una perspectiva totalmente diferente! Once you have been picked up at your hotel you will be able to enjoy the views of the Patagonian Steppe (Desert) and Argentine Lake as we make our way to the port of Calafate. We will sail among icebergs and stunning Patagonian scenery aboard a luxurious and modern boat. It is on this journey that we will have the opportunity (if we have good weather) to see the western front of the Upsala glacier which is the second longest glacier in South America. The journey continues through the Cristina Canal and ending at Estancia Cristina just before noon.
While here you have the option to taste the unique regional cuisine of Estancia such as the traditional Patagonian lamb (not included in the price).
After your free time we will take a guided walk up to Caterina River, a popular fishing spot for typical Patagonian trout. The tour will follow to the local Chapel, around the Estancia and the historical Gaucho museum.
After spending the afternoon discovering the beauty of the Estancia, we will return to Punta Bandera by boat and then back to Calafate.

Tras la merienda, pondremos rumbo a nuestro viaje de vuelta. Ten en cuenta que todo en Patagonia depende del clima y de la condición física de cada grupo, por lo que los itinerarios pueden variar. Entre los puntos de referencia que podrían ser visitados con la excursión, destacamos el mirador del lago Sarmiento de Gamboa, la cascada del río Paine, el cerro Almirante Nieto o los cuernos del Paine vistos desde un mirador superior, la laguna Amarga y una caminata opcional por el sendero hasta la entrada de Sarmiento, el mirador Salto Grande, el mirador del lago Nordenskjold o el lago Pehoé, por nombrar algunos.

Deja atrás Calafate y sube a bordo del minibús que te llevará al puerto de la Cruz de Punta Bandera. Tras un viaje en barco de una hora y 45 minutos de duración, podrás disfrutar de la primera imagen del glaciar.

Passing the 'Cañadón La Leona' we will arrive to the ancient route hotel ""La Leona"". It is here where you will be able to have a break for coffee and cakes.
Once the break is over we will continue along the Lake Viedma, from here we can take in the magical views of glaciers, hidden lakes and the glory that is Mount Fitz Roy. After several photos stops we will then arrive to Andean village El Chalten, also known as the The Capital of the Trekking'. As soon as we arrive we will briefly visit the Interpretation Centre and then the group will be divided according their chosen option at our base - The Pudu Lodge.
We will advise you several options according to your physical condition and provide you of a map and a packed box to carry in your backpack. This is perfect for the independent traveler; the clearly-marked tracks can make anyone feel like an expert. Around 17:30 pm we will return with the rest of the group to the base to enjoy a delicious hot chocolate at Pudu Lodge.

We will provide you with ground transportation to the Port of Bahia Tunnel. Here we will sail along the Viedma lake to the beautiful Viedma Glacier, which is the largest glacier in the National Park! Once we arrive at the glacier we will begin the trek, spending about 2.5 hours exploring the ice, its crevasses and caves. You will be accompanied by an expert mountain guide (certified by the Argentine Association of Mountain Guides and the Admin. of National Parks). This is recommended for travelers in a good physical condition. The excursion includes crampons, on-board snack, and box lunch.

We combine a one-hour trek with a 4x4 trip across the valley of De las Vueltas river. Enjoy a wide panoramic view of the Andes range. The course of De Las Vueltas river is often one of the preferred route for condors in their low flight East-West. If you are lucky you will be able to see them closely.
From here we will visit the cascades of De Las Vueltas river and the Lake of the Desert, hidden amongst lush forests amid a paradise of ancient trees, glaciers and streams. After which we will trek to the Huemul Lagoon and Glacier (optional) perched on the slopes of Mount Vespignani. The path starts at Lake of the Desert and goes up the left hand side of a stream that is coming down from Huemul Lagoon. It takes about 45 minutes to climb the 2km to the lagoon. On the way we will get some great views of the valley below and Mount Fitz Roy. Around 17:30 pm we will return with the rest of the group to the base to enjoy a delicious hot chocolate at Pudu Lodge.

Perito Moreno Glacier minitrekking tour.
Departing from your El Calafate hotel, you'll head to the Bajo de las Sombras (Under the Shadows) port. After a quick 20-minute sail, you'll reach the opposite shore and the base of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Here, the guides will help you pick out a crampon, special metal spikes worn on your boots for traction. Then, your adventure begins as you hike along the Rico Arm to reach the glacier.
With your crampons fastened, head out for the real adventure as you embark on a 1.5 hour walk across the glacier. Your guide will be there to tell you about the famous Perito Moreno Glacier while trekking.
Finish up your adventure as you cross the Rico Arm again, which leads you to a footbridge located in front of the glacier for one last glance at the beautiful glacier. Then, make your way back to the road that cuts between the forest of lengas and the pier. Board a bus that will take you to the glacier's viewpoint and footbridges, where you have an hour to enjoy before heading back to your hotel.

We will pass by the edge of the main body of Argentino Lake and move on towards Punta Bandera Port, where, after paying the Park admission fee, we will get on a modern catamaran.
The first part of the excursion is in the northern arm of Lake Argentino across the Boca del Diablo, the narrowest part of the lake, then you will go to the Upsala channel and the Spegazzini channel where you will be able to see, at the end of each channel, the respective glaciers.
The navigation runs between spectacular icebergs of immense size and varied forms. From the boat you will see, among others, the Upsala and the Spegazzini glaciers. We will return to the port and then go to El Calafate by a land transportation vehicle.

We will stop at the entrance of the National Park in order to pay the admission fee and, once inside the park, we will go to “Curva de los Suspiros” (“Curve of Sighs”), where we will get off the vehicle in order to see the Perito Moreno Glacier for the first time. Further on, we will stop at the Muelle Bajo las Sombras (Pier Under the Shadows) so that those who are willing to go sailing can get closer to the southern wall of the Glacier (optional). Then we will move on to the front catwalks of the glacier, where we will watch it from different balconies and enjoy our free time by appreciating the various detachments. Return to El Calafate.

Después de recogerte en tu hotel, nos dirigiremos al puerto Bajo de las Sombras, el punto de partida de las rutas de senderismo sobre el glaciar Perito Moreno. Tras una travesía de unos 20 minutos, alcanzaremos la orilla opuesta y la base del glaciar. Aquí tu guía te ayudará a elegir los crampones para que tus botas tengan mejor tracción y te dará las instrucciones oportunas para caminar sobre el hielo.
La excursión empieza con una caminata por el Brazo Rico que te conducirá hasta el glaciar. Con los crampones bien sujetos, te embarcarás entonces en una aventura por Perito Moreno en la que tu guía te acompañará para contarte su historia y mostrarte curiosas formaciones de hielo: grietas, seracs, sumideros, pequeñas lagunas, etc.
Termina la aventura en el punto de partida: el Brazo Rico. Desde un puente peatonal podrás contemplar por última vez el hermoso glaciar antes de volver a la carretera que atraviesa un bosque de lengas hasta llegar hasta el muelle. Sube a bordo de un autobús que te llevará de excursión por los mejores miradores antes de regresar a tu hotel.
