Cape Kaliakra is the longest cape of the Bulgarian Black sea coast. In translation its name means “Beautiful cape”. The red colored cliffs, rising in their grandeur, take all the credit for that name. Then go deep in history with a visit of the Roman Baths, which were built upon more than 7000 sq.m. and used to be the largest antique public building in Bulgaria. A stroll round the unique architectural monument (magnificent baths, dating back to the 2nd century AD) will take you back in time to the fascinating life of the ancient Romans. Right next to the Roman Baths is the church St. Atanasii. This is the old metropolitan church, rebuilt in 1838, after being burn down in 1836.
