Begin your journey at 560 metres above sea level not far from the historical buildings in Innsbruck’s old town. Planned and designed by star architect Zaha Hadid, the cable car Hungerburg funicular and its unique stations set new standards in international architecture.
The journey starts towards Seegrube and Hafelekar and as your ascent continues, views over the bustle of the town are replaced with views over natural surroundings. Finally, all that remains is a spectacular view of Innsbruck that hints at the lively bustle of the city by day and shimmers like a sea of lights by night. Reaching the upper station at 2,256 metres above sea level, here the city opens up in front of you on one side, and on the other side unforgettable vistas of untouched, pristine nature.
A visit to the Nordkette, set between the mountain range and the town, promises to be an unforgettable experience.
