Tour to Chefchaouen

Chauen is a known as the “blue” city, is in northwest Morocco situated in the Rif Mountains, located inland from Tangier and Tetouan. The city was founded in 1471 by Moorish exiles from Spain. Its blue-glazed houses and buildings are a tradition that comes from the town's former Jewish population.Chefchaouen was known as one of the main concentrations of Moriscos and Jews who sought refuge in this mountainous city after the Spanish Reconquista.

After pick-up, we’ll drive to Rif Mountains where the guide will give details on the history. Then we’ll do a refreshment stop at Ain Lahcen Cafe Restaurant or similar (1 mineral water or 1 soft drink) before continuing with our city tour to Chaouen (sightseeing + photos), El Makhzan Square (photos-stop + explanations), Ras El Ma spring (visit + explanations + photos). We’ll have lunch at Casa Hassan restaurant or similar (3 courses lunch + mineral water or soft drink). The we’ll visit Uta El Hamam Square (photos-stop + explanations) and the Medina and souks (sightseeing + photos).
