With the snowy peaks of the Atlas Mountains rising beyond, Taroudant’s ochre walls rise out of the ground, preserving a former Saadian capital city steeped in history. Just 80km from Agadir, we journey through aromatic banana and citrus fruit plantations in the fertile Souss Valley towards our destination, stopping along the way for photo stops and to spot the illusive tree-climbing goats.

On arrival, you are immediately greeted by the 11th century walls and five monumental gates to the city. Head into the hustle and bustle of Taroudant’s myriad of streets and explore the bustling Place Assarag in the heart of the city. Your guide will navigate you around the souks, where you can browse the silver jewellery, leather goods, spices and Argan oil for sale.
