This is the most exciting way to discover the beautiful central part of Sao Miguel Island. We take you on an adventure through nature to uncover hidden streams, valleys and unspoiled crater lakes.
We head off the beaten path to take you to places no ordinary car can go. Drive through rushing streams and over undulating green valleys such as Monte Escuro, and find hidden waterfalls that are a thing of pure beauty. Unspoiled crater lakes such as São Bras will be revealed before your eyes and the volcanic origin of São Miguel will be laid bare at Caldeiras da Ribeira Grande. Admire the striking architectonic contrast of black lava stone against white walls in both Vila Franca and Ribeira Grande, and round-off the experience with a relaxing Azorean wine and cheese tasting.
