You will enjoy a half day walking tour in one of the most important and oldest cities in Romania. You will be amazed by the way that the occidental part of the city blends in with the old town shaped by hundreds of years of history, culture and religious life.
The tour starts at the Palace of Culture, the symbol of the city, where you will meet with your guide, who will introduce you to the city’s past. We will enjoy a walk in the palace’s charming garden where the guide will tell you the story of this marvelous edifice which served as Administrative and Judicial Palace until 1955. We will stroll down the Stefan Cel Mare Boulevard where most of the main attractions of the city are situated. Our walking tour includes two of the most representative religious images of Iasi: the Three Hierarchs Church and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Roznovanu Palace hosts nowadays city hall. The beautiful building was constructed in the 19th century. Next you will observe the oldest theatre in the country, the Vasile Alecsandri National Theatre. Our tour takes us to the Union Square, an important historic part of the city and we will visit the Union Museum. Our last stop will be at Golia Monastery, a place which induces peace and serenity and it also offer an impressive view over the city from its tower.
