THE CIRCUIT! Six days full of magic in Yucatán. You will be in two of the most important Mayan cities in the state, swim in a cenote, and experience three of the biggest temples in Yucatan, secluded beaches and amazing mangrove swamp forests. If that wasn´t enough you will be accompanied by the best sta?, you will enjoy the best food and the best shows in just one trip.
DAY 1: Arrival at Mérida and transfer to hotel. Merida also known as “White city” and capital of Yucatan with approximately 1,956 millions of people it's today a modern city full of culture. With several museums, galleries and restaurants. We feel proud of welcome you to this mystic place founded in 1542 by Francisco de Montejo, best known as “El Mozo”.
DAY 2: Chi-ch'en Itza means "at the mouth of the well of the Itza". This is the best example of the migratory movements that took place in Mesoamerica in to the post classic early period; it reunites cultural features both of Mayan areas and the center of Mexico, particularly of the toltec culture. The archeological site, world famous by its equinox that serves as a visual symbol of the day and night as the sun of the late afternoon creates the illusion of a snake creeping slowly down the northern staircase known as “the castle”.
DAY 3: This incredible bike ride will lead us 2,500 years towards past of Yucatan: After a light breakfast, we start our ride in modern Merida passing by the newest neighborhoods and commercial areas in the city, in minutes we will ?nd ourselves riding along little villages, former haciendas, and ancient Mayan paths surrounded by nature until we reach the beautiful Mayan city of Dzibilchaltun where we will have time to explore its temples and relax in the beautiful cenote “Xlakáh”. In the afternoon we will have the opportunity to enjoy a small mangrove forest located close to Merida that will put us in a lagoon from where we can witness a spectacular sunset surrounded by hundreds of birds, traveling back to their nests to feed their chicks.
DAY 4: Uxmal is undoubtedly the most representative settlement of the architecture from the Puuc Region and what is best that enjoying it with a show of light and sound. Here the facades are decorated with mascaron ornaments of Chac, the rain God, borders, panels with hieroglyphs and tall crestings.
DAY 5: Izamal is a beautiful colonial small town founded on the mid of the 16th century on top of the vestiges of an old Mayan city. In 1992, Izamal was visited by S.S Juan Pablo II, which o?ciated a mass in the big atrium of the temple of “Purísima Concepción” and the ex-convent of San Antonio de Padua. From that moment the majority of the houses and buildings were painted yellow and white: the Vatican colors.
DAY 6: Last day and transfer to the airport. See you soon Yucatan!
