This is an easy half day walk amongst the valleys and mountains, along the “levada da Serra do Faial” and located near the highest village of the island, Camacha (700 mts).

The levada walk begins in Vale Paraiso and finishes in Rochão. Along the way you’ll see cultivated terraces, spectacular gardens and beautiful views over the village of Camacha. The beautiful smell of pine trees really adds to the sensory feel of this peaceful walk.

Meeting/pick-up point: Hotel Receptions.
Duration: Approx. 2.5 hours.
Pick-up time: For hotels in Machico: between 8:15am – 8:30am, Caniço: between 8:30am – 8:45am, Funcha: between 9am– 9:15am.
Drop-off time: Back at the Hotels between 4pm and 7pm.
Languages: Portuguese and English.
Others: A tolerance of 15 minutes should be given, from the stipulated pick up times between hotels.
Should your hotel be situated at any other area on the Island, pick up points and times are by arrangement, only.
Walk includes transport to and from your hotel, insurance on the vehicle and on the walk and a certified mountain guide to lead the group.
