Información

Enter the heart of real Tuscany with charming medieval villages, rolling landscapes and an ancient farming tradition that produces the food and wine the area is famous for.

HIGHLIGHTS:

* Explore picturesque hilltop villages and towns
* Taste local wines
* Have lunch at an historical farm
* Drive along panoramic roads through rolling Tuscan countryside

Through the hilly expanses of the old vineyards and olive groves that characterise the splendid Chianti territory, we reach Greve. Wander around the open galleries, arcades and characteristic shops before continuing to Castellina, a typical ancient hamlet perched on a hill. Just outside the village is one of the most famous vineyards of the area, where you’ll be guided through the local wines, extra virgin olive oil on Tuscan bread and lavender honey.

Heading along panoramic roads we see the stunning village of Monteriggioni, a small medieval jewel surrounded by standing ancient walls. Further ahead the unmistakable clay landscape of Crete Senesi comes into view before reaching the lush green landscapes of Val d'Orcia, where hills dotted with cypresses, interrupted by castles, churches, ancient villages unfold before your eyes.

At an historic farm you’ll be served a lunch with a tasting of the renowned Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello and Supertuscan wines and typical products from the region. After lunch we go to Montalcino with its imposing 14th century fortress that offers one of the most beautiful views over Val d’Orcia. A short journey later, we reach our final stop, Montepulciano.
