Stari Bar and Ulcinj Tour

This tour shows us the turbulent history of this region, that was under the influence of many cultures and religions. First we visit the ruins of the Old City of Bar (Stari Bar), known since the ancient Greeks, dominated successively by Doclea, Venice and the Turks, resulting in the presence of three religions on the site.
We then visit a mosque and continue our road to admire Ulcinj, ancient fishing port created by the Greeks in the fifth century BC. This city, the southernmost of Montenegro, was a shelter of pirates for a long time, but also a great reminder of Illyrian presence in the region.
The slave trade towards Tripoli has also left many traces.
