Sightseeing Tour of Sibiu and the Fortified Churches

Discover the medieval treasures of Sibiu, an European capital of history and culture as it was designed in 2007. In the morning, you will meet the guide in front of your hotel, who will accompany you on the city tour of Sibiu.

You will have now the opportunity to explore its beauties like the Big Square, the Haaller House, The Brukenthal Museum, the Bridge of Lies or the Evangelical Cathedral.

After the walking tour (2-3 hours) you will enjoy some free time to take photos or to serve the lunch if you want (lunch not included in the price ).

In the afternoon, we will take the medieval tracks in the Surroundings of Sibiu: we stop in Cisnadie, one of the most beautiful fortified churches in Transylvania. Mentioned for the first time in a document from the year 1204 under the name "Rivetel", in Cisnadie flourished, particularly the guilds of blacksmiths and wool weavers (weaving remained the traditional occupation of the town population until the 20th century, when large textile factories were built).

Next we drive to Cisnadioara, a 13th century Romanesque basilica, a representative village for the Saxon community. Here we will visit its fortress, a testament of the area's rich history. Situated on top of a hill, it will give us the opportunity to enjoy magical views, so a photo session is a welcome break.

Don`t forget to ask the guide about its particular legends! From here, we drive back to Sibiu.

Dress-code: The participants are adviced to wear comfortable shoes. Required documents: ID. Voucher validity: 1 day.
