The rock climbing is commonly seen as a sport of freedom, practised only by those who have greater resourcefulness and adaptability. However, anyone interested can learn the necessary techniques of climbing - which doesn’t depend on physical stature - and practise safely this fantastic adventure sport.
In this activity, we will use roads 10-50 meters in natural environment (top-rope), to give the practitioner a sense of being in the rock. It is noteworthy that, as well as diving, climbing baptism in Rio de Janeiro is offered for beginners, providing a first contact with the activity.
For those who already have experience in the sport, we indicate three of the most classic climbing routes of Rio de Janeiro: the Coringa and Italianos routes in the Sugar Loaf and K2 route in Corcovado.
