The Italian route is on the west side and is the most famous part of Sugar Loaf, your line is just below the cable car, facing the city of Rio de Janeiro. Climbing there is a dream of many climbers to be a way in small holds, with either crux, always very beautiful.
The Italian-secundus junction is one of the classic climbs of Rio de Janeiro and the look of the wall is spectacular. A challenging hard climb around 3 hours with an initial stretch of track 30 minutes. The descent is made by cable car from sugar loaf to morro da Urca, where you take the trail to the base at Praia Vermelha. Check out the photos and book your adventure!
