If you prefer to head away from the beaten track, this quad biking tour is for you. It explores arid landscapes, tiny villages and finishes off with a view of Marrakech from the outside. You’ll start by getting kitted out in your quad biking gear – everything from the gloves to the helmets are provided, and an instructor will brief you on the day ahead. Rural Morocco is a jigsaw of sand dunes, palm groves and dusky mountains, and you’ll have the chance to see them all. Villages with stacks of ochre-coloured houses rear out of the barren countryside, too. The tour will stop off in one, where you’ll have the chance to see villagers living a rustic way of life. You’ll also be invited into a host’s house for a refreshing mint tea. On the return journey, you’ll see for yourself why Marrakech is nicknamed the Red City and the Daughter of the Desert.
