Our landing is in the channel between Plaza North and South, where the island tilts toward the sea. The approach makes an attractive and colorful way. The turquoise waters of the channel contrast brilliantly with white sand and black lava of the shoreline. The rocks they have grown thick with cactus in certain places, speckled with colorful zayapas.
The path continues gradually to the highest part of the island towards the ravines that allow watching the ocean to the south, where swallow-tailed gulls nest. Tropical birds, masked boobies and legs Blue still wind currents. The place is a magnificent point to observe marine life, including manta rays. The coast of the square makes perfect snorkeling activity in a colony of sea lions reaching nearly a thousand. This is the southern partner of two islands form increased resting just a few hundred meters off the east coast of Santa Cruz. Island North is only used for purposes scientists. South Plaza is one of the islands small but rich in the archipelago only with 130 meters wide (426 feet), was formed from magma volcanic, giving it a unique quality in its species.
