Icefields Parkway Tour

Travel through a landscape carved by glaciers and opened by pioneers. Stop at world famous Lake Louise, and continue along the Icefields Parkway, rated as one of the most scenic highways in the world. Marvel at glaciers remaining from the last ice age while you hear stories of early explorers who opened the valleys. Enjoy an alpine picnic before visiting the Athabasca Glacier and Columbia Icefields Centre. Join a Ice Explorer! and travel onto the glacier, or explore the interpretive centre and surroundings.



Meeting/pick-up point: Pick-ups are available from most hotels in Banff. If your hotel is outside of pick-up locations, supplier will indicate closest hotel and pick-up time. For those staying out of Banff or driving, the central pick-up location is behind the Mt. Royal Hotel (138 Banff Ave.) in Downtown Banff.
Duration: Approx. ten hours.

Others: We ask guests to find parking and wait outside, in the parking lot, near the bus stop, which is clearly marked: DOWNTOWN PUBLIC BUS PARKING LOT. Please be at the location at least 15 minutes before the listed tour time. Tour includes Mountain Picnic Lunch (sandwich, apple, juice, brownie, as well as maple cookies and water), and Ice Explorer! Tour. Please note early and late season road/trail closures may limit access to some areas. Minors (those under the age of 18 by Alberta Law) must be accompanied by an adult.
