The perfect adventure for those who want get a taste of inside of carioca Atlantic forest. The Tijuca Peak (1021m) is the highest mountain in Tijuca forest and is located in the heart of the Tijuca National Park. The forest area was exploited for economic activities during the colonial Brazil, but is protected from the mid-nineteenth century.
The long route begins at the entrance gate of the Tijuca national park and goes through several tracks sections. In this circuit, the guide will lead the group to the Museum Park and Cachoeira das Almas (waterfall of the souls). This tour has a distance longer walk and can be done by anyone with a normal physical condition (total length 6 hours). Despite the altitude, the trails are not steep.
