The Corcovado has 710m altitude and is the main tourist attraction in Rio de Janeiro. Located within the boundaries of the Tijuca National Park, is the statue pedestal of Christ the Redeemer, Rio postcard and one of the seven wonders of the modern world. The trail Corcovado takes us by a sector of the Tijuca National Park, where we can see several species of animals and their habitat. Capuchin monkeys, toucans, hawks and possums are often seen in search of food.
The tour begins at Parque Lage, one of the nicest parks Rio and a historical and scenic heritage of the city. The tour of Corcovado track requires moderate physical effort, as we will overcome steep climbs through thick jungle and some natural obstacles along the way. We follow the trail crossing the tracks where the train passes and finally reach the ultimate goal of the tour: the statue of Christ the Redeemer.
The entrance to the statue is already included. After the visit, the descent is made by the same trail to the Parque Lage.
