Get up close to and feel the history that surrounds the iconic mountain that dominates the Bay of Naples. After meeting your tour group a scenic drive will take you through the original crater climbing almost 900 meters before the final ascent is made on foot, winding your way up to a height of 1000 metres through the volcanic debris.

Upon arrival at the top of the volcano, you will be greeted with impressive panoramic views that stretch across the bay, making the whole climb worth it. With a chance to explore the top of the crater before descending again, it will truly take your breath away.

Not only does this trip offer the beauty and impact of this powerful volcano, before returning home the tour stops in Sorrento for an opportunity to visit the Vico Equense mineral museum. With over 230 varieties of Vesuvian Mineral on show as well as many from around the world, it is the perfect opportunity to understand a little more about the fascinating landscape and geology of the historical Bay of Naples.
