Garganta do Céu Hiking - Pedra da Gávea

The heaven throat is located on the south face of pedra da gavea, the rock forms a beautiful natural frame and a gazebo where one can see a unique angle the two brothers hill and the beach of sao conrado.

The track heaven's throat is an alternative walk and harder one for those who want to reach the summit of sugar loaf. The track begins at the same starting point of the pedra da gávea traditional track, though shorter walking is considered more difficult, steeper and high demand for guidance.

The descent is made along the trail via carrasqueira, using a similar technique to rappel, controled by experienced guide, who is offering more comfort and safety. You just need to relax, enjoy and taking lots of pictures.

This trail takes place in the c sector of the tijuca national park, which means that we are within rio atlantic forest and we have great possibilities to find wild animals during the ride.
