A popular excursion of the entire island, this is a tour that takes you to explore the diverse nature of Madeira’s landscapes in just one day. Visit the quaint fishing village of Camara de Lobos and the pretty Ribeira Brava and travel through the lush valley region to the Encumeada mountain pass which takes you 1007m above sea level. As we drive along, panoramic views over the north and south coast unfold before you; transporting you to the heart of tropical Madeira.
We descend from high ground to the rugged north coast towards Porto Moniz, famed for its volcanic rock swimming pools, passing through São Vicente and Seixal with a stop for lunch. From here it’s time to climb the mountains to Paúl da Serra and descend back down to the south west coast to Calheta and Ponta do Sol. The tour ends on a high note at the towering cliffs of Cabo Girão - the second highest in the world!
