First thing in the morning, stop at Silves (last Muslim capital of the Algarve) at the historical information centre and enjoy some free time. Then it’s on to Caldas de Monchique (the ‘Sintra of the south’) for a slow drive through it and to take some photos and have the opportunity to taste bread directly from a wood-burning oven. In Monchique, and after a coffee stop, a visit to a distillary, for fire-water and honey tasting and his history. Stop in Casais/ Marmelete for a typical regional lunch. The afternoon takes us to Lagos, an historic city connected to the Discoveries, and where you will have the opportunity to know better about this city and some free time. The day ends with tasting of cheese and Portuguese smoked ham in a traditional tavern.
