Información

This is the perfect way to combine some moderate physical activity with seeing the sights around the Cape Peninsula. Enjoy a peaceful cycle through the unique fynbos vegetation of the Cape Point Nature Reserve, where you can find buck, baboons, Cape Mountain zebra and more than 250 species of birds. Fynbos, which is the natural vegetation of the area, makes up the smallest but richest of the world’s six floral kingdoms.

Visit the unique land-based breeding colony of the rare and endangered African penguins at Boulders Beach in Simon’s Town on the eastern side of the Cape Peninsula. You can see these birds – previously called “Jackass” penguins because of their donkey-like call – by means of a splendid walkway taking visitors through the area where they live and breed. This is one of the few colonies of its kind in the world, making it a popular tourist destination. This beach is an ideal home for the African penguins, with its wind-sheltered bays, huge granite boulders and safe, sandy shores.

You will also be able to relax at a scenic picnic lunch spot. Before returning to Cape Town, the tour continues to the historic Constantia Winelands, the oldest wine-growing region in Southern Africa, with renowned wine estates and award-winning restaurants. Enjoy wine tastings at two premier estates while taking in the area’s traditional and splendid Cape Dutch architecture and outstanding vistas of the Constantiaberg and Table Mountain ranges. This is an area of fantastic natural scenery in a fairytale-like setting, not far from the Mother City.
