Interactive and with unusual exhibitions, the Ecomuseum is a great option to know a little bit more about the history of Itaipu. Scenarios faithful to the past, electronic totems and a giant model are part of this cultural space. Among the surprises, visitors can enjoy thematic areas of water and energy, as well as a replica of the axis of a turbine at work - entitled to hear the characteristic sounds of the heart of the plant.
The environment also has an impressive panel created in homage to the thousands of workers who helped building the hydropower. There are 4.500 photos of the workers in 3x4 format. The community and the trinational region are highlighted in the Ecomuseum in one of the largest models in the country.
It has 76 square meters, 25.000 times smaller than the original space, allowing an educational trip across the border between Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. In this room, 750 fiber optic wires simulate a starry sky and, at the side walls, touch screens show testimonies from the residents of the surrounding cities.
