Información

Enjoy your morning with this 3 hour orientation tour of most sites of the city. The itinerary begins at Campo dei Fiori, certainly one of the most characteristic squares in Rome with its “open - air” market. Next to Campo de’ Fiori we will admire the magical charm of Piazza Farnese, which takes its name from the imposing Palazzo Farnese facing the square. A few steps from Palazzo Farnese stands Palazzo Spada. The building is worth a stop thanks to the brilliance of forced prospective introduced by the famous architect Borromini with its unique optical illusion.

Proceed then to Piazza Navona, one of the most famous squares in the world. Its symbol is the “Fountains of Four Rivers”, designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and competing with Borromini’s famed church S. Agnese in Agone. In a ten minute walk we reach Piazza della Rotonda housing the unmistakable structure of the Pantheon (inside visit). Our expert guide will be glad to give a short explanation about the history and the architectural secrets of the building. From Piazza della Rotonda the distance is short to Piazza Colonna and then to Trevi Fountain, a true masterpiece and certainly the most famous and spectacular fountain in Rome. The last stop of our itinerary will be Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps).

After the morning tour you will be transferred in the restaurant to enjoy a typical light lunch with drinks. After lunch you will enjoy our afternoon Vatican Tour including the famous Sistine Chapel with the outstanding Creation of Adam, and the incomparable Last Judgment, on the altar wall. We will then proceed to the Pio - Clementino halls with the Laocoon and Apollo Belvedere. Last stop will be Saint Peter’s Basilica. Inside this church we will experience the beauty of the world famous sculpture La Pietà by Michelangelo and the impressive Baldachin Altar (in gold and bronze) by Gian Lorenzo Bernini as well as the splendid Colonnade outside the church.
