Start the tour with a visit to the Colosseum. An iconic symbol of Ancient Rome and its consequential history, the Colosseum is one of the world's most significant and beautiful monument. The Colosseum could hold up to 70,000 spectators and was used for gladiatorial fights (murena), wild animal hunts (venationes) and simulated sea battles (naumachiae).

Another ancient part of the city is the Palatine Hill. The hill is littered with ruins such as the Baths of Septimius Severus, House of Augustus and House of Livia. The center of the Seven Hills of Rome, the Palatine Hill holds an important place in Rome's history with a strong link to Roman mythology.

From there, head towards the Roman Forum, one of the most notable archaeological sites in the world. The Roman Forum was the center of Roman public and economic making it the heart and soul of the city. Most of the ancient city's significant structures were located in the Roman Forum like Curia and Basilica di Massenzio.

It is forbidden to enter the Coliseum with suitcases, backpacks and voluminous bags. There is no bag deposit at the Coliseum.
