If you enjoy biking and history and Mayan architecture, then this is perfect day trip for you. We begin with a quick visit to the ruins of Ake, then will be going to a traditional nineteenth century hacienda and end up with a homemade lunch with a Mayan family. Our bike ride begins moving through 11 kilometers to the ruins of Ake, we will be passing remote villages, where children will greet us as we passed.
With its large and mysterious columns and huge steps, Ake differs from all other Mayan sites that do not usually have this kind of monumental structures. Another interesting feature is that at Ake we will see the ""Sac Beh"" or white roads that the ancient Mayans used to communicate the people.
