Day 1: Istanbul, Kayseri and Cappadocia
Your private vehicle will be waiting for you for an early morning transfer to the airport. Following the flight to Kayseri city, you will travel to the Cappadocia region by car. The first day visits will include the Citadel of Uchisar, Valleys of Zelve, Avcilar and Pigeon, then Avanos, the pottery village; as well as the Göreme Open-air Museum with its churches carved out of rock and one of a kind frescoes; and the Karanlik Church, which has recently been restored and announced as one of the World’s treasures by UNESCO. You may then opt for lunch, either in a fish or meat restaurant with a selection of local Cappadocia wines. The afternoon will be a great time to see the magnificent views offered the unique nature of the region, capture moments in pictures or videos. An elegant dinner and a magical night’s rest at the authentic Cappadocia Lodge Hotel which will help you to absorb the day’s marvels. (Optional tours to a simple wine house or to a local folkloric performance after dinner are available).
Day 2: Cappadocia, Ankara and Istanbul
Breakfast will be served at the hotel, before leaving for the Pancarlik Valley and the Underground City of Derinkuyu. You will leave Cappadocia at noon and drive to Ankara via the famous Salt Lake, a vast ocean of white. The drive takes almost 4 hours, with optional lunch on the way, at the 13th Century Agzikarahan Caravanserai of Selçuks. Upon arrival in Ankara, you will take an evening flight to Istanbul, where you will be transferred to your hotel.
