Day 1 - Istanbul Arrival Day - Saturday, 22nd April 2017
Met on arrival at Ataturk International Airport. (Arrival airport transfer from Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) can be arranged at additional charge). Transfer to hotel and free time until 6pm when the Conference about the ANZAC Dawn Service and Turkey will start (duration approx. 1 hour). Welcome cocktail, coffee, tea and snacks are included and chance to meet your fellow ANZAC Day Gallipoli tour members. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2 - Gallipoli Tour - Sunday, 23rd April 2017

We depart for Gallipoli at 7am (4.5 hours distance). On the way we will watch the latest documentaries about the Gallipoli campaign. We arrive in Gallipoli for lunch on the coast of Gabatepe. After lunch we start our tour of the Gallipoli peninsula. Visit Kabatepe War Museum, ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine Australias Memorial and Cemetery, Quinns Post, Turkish 57th Regiment Cemetery, the Nek, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial and Cemetery. Overnight at hotel in Çanakkale.
Day 3 - Troy Tour & ANZAC Cove - Monday, 24th April 2017

Today we will visit the Trojan horse and the ancient city of Troy, located on the other side of the Dardanelles Straites (approx. 1.5 hours distance including ferry). Return mid-afternoon and meet later at 5:30pm at the hotel for our buffet dinner before heading to ANZAC Cove to stay overnight at the ANZAC Commemorative Site in preparation for tomorrow morning’s Dawn Service. Overnight at ANZAC Cove.
Day 4 - ANZAC Dawn Service at Commemorative Site Gallipoli - Tuesday, 25th April 2017
5:30am-6:15am Dawn Service, ANZAC Commemorative Site, North Beach
11:15am-12pm Turkish 57th Regiment Memorial Service
12:30-13:15 New Zealand Memorial Service, Chunuk Bair
After attending the ANZAC services, at approx. 3pm we will travel back to Istanbul (4.5 hours distance). Overnight at hotel in Istanbul.
Day 5 - Istanbul - End of ANZAC Tour - Wednesday, 26th April 2017

After breakfast, check out from hotel (luggage will be stored at hotel). Depart at 8:30am for your guided Istanbul city tour visiting the major sites in the historic Sultanahmet area of the city, including the fabulous Topkapi Palace, home of the Ottoman Sultans for centuries, the Blue Mosque dating from the early 17th century, the Hippodrome which marks the area of an old chariot race track and finishing with a trip to the spice or Egyptian Bazaar, full of aromatic aromas and a great place to buy last minute herbs and spices to back home. The tour ends here.

The governments of Australia and New Zealand have announced that the Gallipoli peninsula will be closed on 24th April 2017 for safety and security purposes, cemeteries and memorials cannot be visited as in previous years therefore, this tour is done on the 23rd April instead.
There are some food and drink stalls available at ANZAC Cove but also advisable to take some along as well.
Don't forget to bring warm clothes, sleeping bags, wet weather gear, torches, hat, sunscreen and good walking shoes. Optional - sleepings bags can be provided but must mention at time of booking.
In 2017 the ANZAC Commemorative Site will open later than it has in previous years. The new opening time will be 6pm on 24th April, the ANZAC Commemorative Site will not open before the designated opening time.
